Notice that I'm NOT including my house, because I like doubles...and cheap home pads SUCK for doubles...

$.75 for 3 songs. Nothing special about it, really. But everything's unlocked, and the machine is USUALLY in pretty good shape.

And as for being n00b, I only started in Feb, but I worked at a BUNCH of songs...not just the n00b sets, and now I'm up to playing on Heavy...just not the boss songs yet...the best I have is MaxX Unlimited - Standard...I know, you can flame me now for being a n00b...
in all honesty, I guess I would be considered a noob too I guess... since I had only started in late January. Like you, I am also playing on heavy but not the extreme songs yet. Atleast we are improving greatly as we play.

Now that summer is here, I will be mostly playing at home. I used to frequent the arcade at my school which had DDR Extreme for 50 cents a game.

I see alot of noobs doing very well. I've only been playing for a year and a half, and all the vets began to think that the DDR scene was dying, but with 8th mix coming out and the final mix coming sometime, there has sprung up a new breed of noob. And they are doing and improving quite well. Of course you still have that kid who still plays on light after months just because he keeps playing the same song set. But I'd say DDR popularity is back on the rise.

I used to play at the arcades like everyday. Now I play alot at home and I want to go back to arcade, but i can only go like every other week. So basically, when I got to the arcade now, the machine is so foreign to me.

Somehow, I feel so different then before...

I can't play on home pads, they don't feel right, and it's easy to bullshit the steps by just sliding your feet. On a funny note, I knew this kid who played DDR only on the home pads, so he would slide his feet alot to hit the arrows. His favorite song was Healing Vision Angelic Mix. so I took him to the arcade and that was the first song he wanted to play. So just a little bit in, he tries to slide his feet, hits the metal outline, a flies right of the pad....

                  I failed from laughter.

Arcades too expensive and there are no decent ones nearby, although I have a couple of games at Norwood or Tea Tree plaza if im seeing a movie there or something.
