Yea, it's like you get one frame to get a perfect, and one frame on each side of that to get a great or something, and only perfects keep your combo, and anything off by more than one frame is a miss. And since it seems to get more frames per second on later levels, it actually shrinks your timing window. P.S.: It needs reverse.
