I agree. I went to the midnight showing, and I liked it! Hell I'd watch i again if could! But otherwise, I was surprised at the actor of Venom. Eric from That 70's Show, come on. Could do a little better for Eddie. But I really liked it. It has really good CGI too. All of that sand, it's crazy!

Mal, all of the happenings were based around a central theme. Actually, Aunt May comes out and states the theme specifically when Peter tells her what he thinks happened with Sandman. Something along the lines of "Revenge is like a poison... it can take you over".

It's like Scrubs. When you watch Scrubs, sometimes there will be 3 separate story lines going for JD, Turk, and Elliot. By the end of the episode though, you see that they're all connected around a central theme, and it all ties up nicely into everything else. Same thing here. The thing with Harry in the 1st half of the movie seemed a bit convenient (if you get what I mean), but I think it all works overall.

And honestly, it only felt like 2 movies interconnected to me. The two halves of Peter's life. They probably could have done without Sandman, but it just adds so much to the theme that it's totally worth it. Also, they couldn't have NOT had the thing with harry given the theme and what has happened in the first and second film. And the symbiote is the catalyst here that takes Peter down the road where he learns his lesson, and with the way they built the character of Brock, they managed to work Venom into the central theme as well.

Good fight scenes.. not enough cool moves. The aunt was ****ing annoying though, she kept talking and talking and talking... the plot with the uncle was retarded, the ending was incredibly cheesy. I loved Venom though, in all it's shapes.. oh dear, that was amazing.

One word: Sappy.

It started off sappy, it was meh in the middle with awesome fight scenes and funnay humors, then ended sappy again. >.< I was disappointed.

Sandman was twice as worse of an antagonist as Octopussy in Spiderman 2. "Boo hoo, I am a bad guy because my daughter is ill and I need monies ;_;".

Rofl @ Tobey with an badarse emo touch. He was badarse with the black suit on, and his badarse attitude was awesome. Man, he literally b***h slapped Kirsten thar. xD I laughed.

My rating: 3 out of 5; Sappy starters and endings in this type of movie is downright a no no.

I just saw spiderman 3. it sucked. infinitely worse than the first two. don't waste your money. i know you're going to go see it anyway, but don't say i didn't warn you.

This man speaks the truth. The first half was alright, but then the ego spree started the nose dive, and it never recovered. Ever.

P.S. Did anyone else see the Peter Parker/Pete Wentz dichotomy?

That's cool. I went in wanting to see a movie about Spiderman, not Turk, Elliot, JD, Aunt May, JJ's quest for a camera, a lame revenge plot, etc etc. I went to see a guy that wears red and blue fight people with alright plotting. Spiderman was in the movie for maybe thirty minutes out of the entire film - the entire 2 hour and 20 minute film. The other hour and fifty minutes were strictly okay by any means, but the fact that it could have been so much more left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

I really liked Topher Grace, though. Thought he was the best part of the movie. And I kind of liked ego-tripping Parker until he did that really lame dance outside of the clothing store.

It just didn't feel like the other two, and not in a good way.

Well I liked Spiderman 3 more than Spiderman 1, but Spiderman 2 is still my favorite. I think they could have left Sandman out and the Dancing thing. Other than that I really liked the movie.

The movie was terrible...the beginning was good...the fighting was par with a few "that was cool" moments...the rest sucked

I really liked the opening credits, how they sort of summarize everything for you. Even though I've seen the first two 6 thousand times.. neat effect. Essentially, I loved everything but the ending. It was like, "THAT'S the end? That's the ending to the hardcore awesome crazy good spiderman trilogy? WHAT?!"
