The most annoying thing though is that you can only search for or request Pokemon you have seen before in your dex. Most of the Pokemon you're going to want are going to be ones you haven't seen... I have no idea how you see a Mew or similar legendary in order to ask for it.

Unless you trade using friend codes.

I personally think nicknaming your pokemon is gay. I dunno if I got spoiled by watching the series years ago, or something else, I just don't like it.

Well yeah, but for that you have a much more limited selection of people than you do online... you'd have a better chance of finding something worldwide than you would in your little circle of friends.

Plus, trading online has some sort of fun mystique to it :<


ObserveR, all the Eevees are already nicknamed :P and it actually seems she's too spiteful to trade any of her hard work away (she got them while agonizingly trying to get one with a certain nature for a competitive team), but I do have one of them that I could breed if you really want them.

I beat the elite four a few days ago, but I'm still trying to catch the Mirages (EXTREMELY HARD AND FRUSTRATING!), so I haven't gotten the national pokedex yet. I will get back later today to post my friend code, g2g to school.

I just got Diamond today, and spent a long time with my sister (who has Pearl) getting both of us all of the starters, so there should be fun times ahead.

I just traded a lv. 51 Lucario for a Japanese lv. 100 Dialga!(on the GTS) Personally, I was surprised.

Tofu just put up a baby Eevee online, asking for Dialga just to see what would happen.

She got it.

Not only that, it had ACTIVE POKERUS!

I'm near 100% certain they just duplicate Pokemon now.

hmm... its been awhile since i played pok'emon. :\ But i still agree that it is a good game. I unfortunally do not have a nintindo DS so i cannot play it. Ill probly check it out later thou when its cheaper. :P

But yea, it was a good game and from the previews i seen on TV, it still looks good.

Engler, is that the 3rd gym or something where the leader is not there? If so, she won't be back for a while. Just move on. If it's something else... dunno, haven't gotten there yet.

Sorry ObserveR, I don't have either of those.

I have a bunch of extra male "Combee"s (from sweet honey trees) if anyone wants one. Only the female evolves, but it's still good for a pokedex entry (or breeding if you have a Ditto).

8th Gym, Doesn't matter, I figured it out anyway. And I think Nintendo could have put more work into the differences between male and female. I've seen maybe 20 species where I could tell a difference.
