Hooray, I have electricity again.
I heard about this right as our power went out yesterday. And, of course, one of my best friends is at Tech.
The phone lines were totally jammed. No cell service at all. I finally get through and he tells me he was sleeping through the whole thing.

I am little worried about the backlash towards Koreans and really any Asians attending universities. I just hope everyone doesn't act out on emotion alone. I've seen on Facebook already that there have been groups created that are very negative towards him. I'll give you my prediction.
This will be THE major news story for the next two weeks. The media will start blaming it on other things in a little bit, probably video games, possibly music. If the kid listened to rap it'll be especially good because of the recent Imus business (Sharpton, who pretty much was the leader in getting Imus fired, is now going after rap music).
In short, the media will twist this so much that in a few weeks, it won't be Cho Seung-Hui's fault. Many people will forget that this was one kid who CHOSE to go on a rampage. He made a CONSCIOUS DECISION to do this.

"AT LEAST" MEANS THAT IS THE MINIMUM NUMBER DEAD.
Jesus Christ, it doesn't matter how many people died. NO ONE should have died. It should be just as shocking if the killer had stopped at however many people he shot at the dorm.Comment

Why do these things always happen in the USA?
Here in the Netherlands these things never happen so often....
Only a short while ago, 1km from my home, someone wanted to steal something from a school with children from 4 to 11. A boy of 9 years old entered the classroom wich the man was stealing in, and he killed the boy with a knife.
And 2 years ago 1 teacher was killed i think..... dunno with what weapon
In the USA these things happen almost every year! Mostly with guns, cuz you can buy them for 'self protection'.
Im not saying that i dont find this horrible, i think its horrible... but its just very clear that it mostly happens in the USA...
sorry if im saying something wrong, im just a kid after all....

idno why things happen in the US so often and not so much in other places
well i kno there's loads of reasons actually
like most of the crazies move to the states cuz we have universal orlando and the teletubbies
...
but the ease of getting these things...it's crazy
just like how i felt when i lived in okinawa
