Fig Leaf Rag was easy, Dazzling Soul I can AAA if I play some more, and Dazzling Destiny has a chance of me AAA'ing.

to answer the jack question.... someone did a really nice thread explaining how jacks register in ffr.

but, basically... ffr runs on 30 fps. and there are 5 frames that register for your score on the early side of hitting the arrows (only 1 that keeps your combo if you hit late).

so, anyway... if the two arrows are within 5 frames of each other (anything over 90bpm 16ths has a chance of being 4 frames away, and anything 120+ is guarenteed to be, etc etc), it will register the 2nd arrow before the 1st arrow if you hit within the overlapping window. this isn't THAT big of an issue on stuff that is like... 185bpm stream, because you'd have to be getting averages for it to happen.

but as you get faster and faster, they start overlapping more and more. so you have to hit the notes early to be able to hit the smaller perfect window of the 1st arrow. so if you hit a bit late, you'll get the "jackmiss"... aka 1 average, 1 miss, and 1 boo (1 average on the timing window of the 2nd arrow, 1 miss for missing the 1st arrow, and 1 boo for hitting twice, yet only registering 1 arrow). or, if you hit too early, you'll get goods on the 1st arrow. which makes PAing jacks VERY hard.

take 100 bar blackout for instance. it's a pain in the ass to even FC. and the max score is 2 goods, because 2 of the jacks are so close to each other, the entire perfect window of the early note is overlapped by the window of the 2nd note. that's called a "2-framer". or chrono trigger... that has 2 notes SO close to each other (over 450bpm 16ths) that they're on the same frame... which glitches the game and makes the notes uncomboable, giving you 8 mandatory glitch misses in the song.

Pobeli has 2700 games played, why would I be surprised that some SM would help him bigtime in FFR? That's exactly what happened with me, after all.

The point is that it doesn't transfer DIRECTLY, and that you need SOME FFR practice beforehand.

Thanks Tasselfoot. Now I see why I could combo them when I tried to hit the first note way early. Only problem is, I have to reduce my screencut to see them in time to hit early, and that completely ruins my PA. I got 3 misses on Turbulence but awful PA, and 9 goods with 12 misses.

So, basically I just need to try and hit all the jackhammers a tiny bit early?

EDIT: Also, most of my FFR games played were from 2 years ago, when I first started.

Yes, Doug31 has a really good thread with visuals and everything on the exact breakdown of jack syndrome under every possible scenario. That was at least a couple of months ago, though, so it's pretty dusty and deep in this forum.

This is perfectable, but only on the first perfect frame, thus making it very hard to PA without avmissing

This is not perfectable, and gives a mandatory good because you must hit it early or else it will register only the second arrow.

This is a 1-framer like in the Crowdpleaser supertrill, where the average window is the only possible window to keep your combo.
