Fluxs on e-Bay are usually not much cheaper, and not worth buying, as the shipping is always jacked up and theres the quality concern. I got my Flux not too long ago and it's great.

Re: Looking for DDR Dance Pads?

I had that pad too. The one from DDRGame and I don't recommend it too much... I got mine about a year ago now and it broke about 4 months ago. Not literally broken, but to the point where the up arrow wouldn't respond at all and all the other ones were find. How long you been having this one brothaice? I weighed about 150 back then so maybe the pressure from jumping messed up the sensors? Annoying waste of money.

I might get a Flux, but if for some reason they forget the control box or the pad doesn't work right or it just plain messes up for some reason and I have to pay shipping for them to get it fixed... I'm gonna be mad that's a lot of money there

Re: Looking for DDR Dance Pads?

I have money to buy me a metal ddr pad. They are so many to choose from but really, if money is not an issue, what pad is the best, will last me the longest, durable, and just like the arcade.
Is it better to get one with the bar, I dunno which one to get.

            need some help!

I was thinking of this one,

and my second choice is this one,

If I buy the one with the bar, can I take it out, also lets say I have a USB to PSX thing so I can connect it to my computer, would there be any problems? I just need to know before I make the purchase.

You would have to check here to see if your adapter is compatible because some adapters won't allow the simultaneous button pressing like jumps.

I have no money at all, I basicly have to sell some games to even get this.
Is this alright just to start ddr with? Because Im buying supernova and it will be my first ddr game.

My cus has DDR and couple others for XBOX and PS2. I like this pad because ialways us it but it isn't the best you could ever use. I like the one that comes with the pack because it doesn't slide also it is a little longer and i am a tall person which can't really use a smaller pad. Also it is good if you have two of them because thay are easier to fit next two each other. So if u need a pad badly i sugjest this but if u don't need one don't get it plz get something better. Or at least something that doesn't slide as much!

This mat is ok. It doesn't slip too much, but then when you get onto the harder and faster songs, it starts slipping and moving around like crazy! If you use this, then make sure you aren't too close to any other large pieces of furniture. Also, it can be hard to stay in the center of the mat. Sometimes you end up moving to the side and hitting the foor instead of an arrow! All in all, though, this is worth your money. It has great durability too!!!

I love this dance pad! I got this pad back in early 2006 and it is still working great! I bought the game and pad for myself and shortly later, my son at age 3 took over! He figured out the dance patterns and buys(on the game) more dances to challenge himself! He literally dances everyday! My son has moved on to the heavy and challenge songs now and the pad responds great to his fast movements! The pad has been used by a kindergarten class, friends stomping on it, adults, grandparents, even our cats have walked on it! For all the dancing we have done and more to do, this pad has been wonderful! I bought another dance pad so my son and I could dance together! For only $20, what a great purchase we have made! Great exercise and FUN, too!

I bought the dance pad with the game, and after I wore that one out after three months of serious playing (light, then standard, and heavy), I bought this one. It works well enough, and for the low price, its a good deal. The two complaints I have with it is that it slides (that is until I converted it), and the neutral area is really small, which has caused me some problems.

I have owned the original Konami, a Red Octane foam pad, and a gamestop dance pad. Konami's soft pad was great, but they have stopped shipping them with the games. My Red Octane was not my favorite, as I would fall off the raised edge, and in the end, the thing broke... Now I have had this pad for a good month or two, and even while playing 9 foot Heavy songs, there is very little slipping and arrow responce is awsome. Highly Recomended

I've had this pad for 7 months and I have had alot of fun with this pad. The one thing I love about this pad is that it doesn't bunch up. It does slip around though which is a problem on harder songs.

Sometimes the right arrow sticks, but the reset button does wonders on that problem. I can pull off AA's on Standard songs, but I just can't do heavy well with this pad. I should upgrade, but I don't have the cash. This pad has done me well and if your going to start out (and don't have wood floors) then this is a great pad.

NEVER get Soft Dance Pads off eBay.
                      Even from legit Sellers.
Heck, don't get Soft Dance Pads period.

                      I bought one for $37.
A couple of weeks down the line, and now I can't hit Up whilst holding Down or hit Left whilst pressing Right.
So if I've come off a Left move, and I go to hit Right with my other foot while still standing on Left, it doesn't register...
                      It's not the Software.
                      Just the Pad.
(If anyone has any ideas on what to do, PM me...)

                      Anyway.
                      Don't buy 'em.
If you honestly want a Soft Pad, get one from a Real Life store.
                      Not the internet.

I envy anyone with a Metal Dance Pad.
                      -sighs-
I wonder if my local EbGames would trade it in for something near what I paid for it....

For soft pads I've tried the Red Octane Ignition pads. I had a 2.0 that lasted me a couple of years before the down arrow completely shut down on me. I'm going to look into the Blueshark soft pads because I've heard a lot of good stuff about them.

For hard pads I've tried the Red Octane Afterburner and the Cobalt Flux. Out of the two I think the CF was a lot better. It's very durable and it lasts a lifetime. Again I've also been hearing good things about the Blueshark hard pads as well so I might be investing in them pretty soon.
