Re: SCHOOL'S OUT! VA Busch Gardens Meetup

Actually, my dad apparently just realized that the VA Busch Gardens existed, and sort of suggested a trip there when we drive to New York to pick up my sister from Vassar.

So that'll be somewhere between May 20 and May 27.

My mom will probably be pretty pissed if I'm like, "OH WHAT A SURPRISE INTERNET FRIENDS. L8R FAM!"

Just an idea, wear your FFR shirts so people will know you're in the group. Man I've never met anyone from FFR, this would be awesome.

Sorry Fish. I go to amusement parks to be amused.

I don't spend 50+ dollars just to sit and watch shows, or re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-ride the same four coasters over and over again because that's all they have there.

I've already done that twice, actually.

Last time I went to King's Dominion (two years ago), we managed to hit every coaster at least once in only 5 hours. We did a few of them multiple times because they were awesome and the lines were dead.

Don't know about you, but if I'm going to drop $50 or more, I want the trip to be worth more than 2 hours of rides.

But it's a season pass! I can see your point though. I won't make you come

What's the coasters name? I've been wondering that.

Re: SCHOOL'S OUT! VA Busch Gardens Meetup

Considering that ride opens May 25th and that's about the time you're planning on going, expect a 4-6 hour line for that ride.

I've been to Six Flags: Magic Mountain three times now. Once before their greatest ride opened, once a short while after their greatest ride opened, and once long after their greatest ride opened. Every single time the ride has been there, the line for it has been insane. 5 hours, even around dinnertime just a few hours before the park was to close.

So honestly, don't expect to be getting on that more than once in a single visit, unless you get to the park very early, it's the first thing you get to, and it's a very non-busy day at the park.

Even with the premise of this ride, I'm not too interested. Look up my favorite amusement parks and tell me if you see a trend in what I go to them for:

                          Six Flags: Magic Mountain
                          Cedar Point
                          King's Dominion

PS - In case you're wondering, the name of the ride is "X".

The only multidimensional coaster on earth.

                                I love you guys.

My dad was planning on getting Busch Gardens season passes this year instead of Kings Dominion (even though it's like 30 minutes from where I live).. but.. I'll see if I can go by that time. I'm not exactly sure though, since school ends on June 15th for me.

By the end of May though, I'm pretty sure Ryusei will be staying here with me too. xD So, if all goes well, we'll both be there.
