Playing Silence in front of people works well. Just screenshrink so you can't see the combo and then all anyone else sees is a wall of arrows and nobody can tell if you're missing or not

Re: im the king of ffr (at my school)
I'm pretty sure I'm the best in my city. I could even go as far as to say WA. Nobody in WA plays FFR.
My friend might be better than me. On a LW4 challenge he somehow missed 7 and made me WTF a little. It surprised me because he's either really good and doesn't care about FFR that or he cheated somehow because he doesn't play that often and there's no way. . . Re: im the king of ffr (at my school)
As far as i know only one person in my school is better than me, but i got a friend who is close to me. I've never played at school and only my friends know that i even play, i never go on the computer at school...
But i have told some friends about it over the computer on various other games, and they always say "Oh that's easy, DDR with your fingers...HAH" Then they get on and play Trip to the Moon and i sometimes tell them to venture in to Dance2 or Classic and they see the Masters only songs and think it's IMPOSSIBLE to even beat... ^_^

Re: im the king of ffr (at my school)
Then again I couldn't tell who plays FFR at my school since it's blocked and the game doesn't load when you get around to it.Status: Innactive Onehander

Re: im the king of ffr (at my school)
Haha, i'm pretty much the best ffr player within 300 miles of here =/
kinda live near bahamut and rade, but yeah everyone in my comp class, or when i go in the library just tell me to do the "hardest song" which i usually pick molto vivace, and just call me a f*g for playing so much, lol. - they always ask me why my screen is so small though, from when i screenshrink.Comment

So ridiculously true, and exactly my views on the matter.Originally posted by Bahamut-XBtw, people who watch you and think to themselves "wow this guy must be a loser to be this good" are ****ing dumb and ignorant. Does that mean you can call someone who's good at tennis a loser? Good at drawing? At playing chess? In every situation it's the same thing - you're doing something you enjoy, practicing, and getting good at it. Only reason people associate ffr with you being a loser is because they get the idea that you sit at a computer all the time and play the dam game, which probably isn't true in alot of people's cases. Seriously, to all the people that say it, grow a brain and realize you're not making sense. You really piss me off.
Yeah, I understand the reaction. That doesn't make it any less stupid and ignorant when they act on that reaction by insulting or belittling you, especially with "life card" insults.Originally posted by dAnceguy117Second point: something I touched on in that last paragraph-type-thing. There's more of a reaction to things that aren't widely recognized. Let's say someone sees you drain five straight shots from outside the 3-point line. They'll probably say something like, "Hey, you're really good. You should be on the basketball team." They're impressed, but they don't flip out. They've seen it before. Now they see you play something on FFR. Something that's not so tough, and would probably take less practice to be able to do than what you just did with the basketball. They just start freaking. "What the hell was that? Do you just spend all day with this game or what?" It's brand new to them. It's shocking. They don't expect it from anyone, let alone you.
The "life card" ("You have no life, get a life") is one of my all-time biggest pet peeves. I can understand it in reference to someone who is in his thirties, lives in his parents' house, plays video games all day, and doesn't even attempt to get a job (the sort of thing that was probably the origin of the phrase) but now to have "no life" means "you do things with your free time that I think aren't worthwhile", and I really think there are kindergarten insults that are more meaningful than that. Or the people who think it's "sad" that someone would spend an hour or two a day on a computer game but that it's perfectly normal to watch three hours of television a day, something that is far less intellectually stimulating than almost any video game.
I absolutely detest the idea that there are "socially acceptable" things you can do with your free time, and "loserly" things you can do with your free time. Free time is free time, I'll do whatever I want with it, and if you think it's "loserly", then go **** yourself.

Re: im the king of ffr (at my school)
I don't know any statistics about FFR players in my state (West Virginia)....
I think that'd be a neat feature of FFR (that is, if it already doesn't exist and I'm unaware of), like international/state rankingsComment
