It took me 2 years to beat LOZ: OoT because of the Water Temple. I was stuck in that temple for 10 hrs straight then I gave up when I was, like, 8. 2 years later I decided to play Oot again and I finally found out what to do. From then on was easy to beat.

Hmm...
I had about 300 somewhat hours on Disgaea : hour of Darkness,then I accidentally saved over my file =.=
Then I have around 125 hours on FFXII,not done yet,still have about half of Yiazmat ,the Hunt Club and the fishing mini-game,and then I have FFVIII,100 somewhat odd hours and FFVII with bout 80.

FF7 with all sidequest done took me almost 85 hours.

The most i spent on a game was Pokemon red for gameboy (97hours!)

longest to beat, Final Fantasy Tactics for GBA at 167 hours i think

longest played, WoW at 100 days played in a year. Thankfully i dont give so much time to that anymore

Deus Ex, probably. I bought a demo disc when I was 9, and I couldn't beat the demo until I was 10. Then, I realized it was a demo and I bought the real thing. It took me two more months of regular playing to beat the rest of the game.

FFVII (The weapons were what kept me playing), Ocarina of Time(Mostly the water temple and gerudo desert), Link to the past(started at 8 and finally finished at 15 =\), Resident evil 4(I WANT THAT HAND CANNON!)

and lasty one of my most cheerished games, Majora's mask, i don't know what is everybody's problem with it, i thought it was awesome cause there was so much you could do in those 3 days, and the side quests really got you absorbed into the game and attached to the characters. I took up months getting everything in the game and beating every boss with the Fierce Deity mask.

Oh and the water temple wasn't all to hard, it was just frustrating as hell, raising and lowering water levels. I remembered this one time i almost made it to the boss but then screwed up with the hook shot and had to do the whole raising and lowering thing again so i went "F THAT!" and stopped playing for a couple of weeks, then went back to play it again <.<

I'm still doing everything in FFTA again, ahahaa...I've got around 300 hours put into it.

But as for the game that took me the longest to beat, I'd say Advance Wars Dual Strike. The only thing I played for maybe 8 months straight, and I've only gotten through it once. =\

Why has nobody mentioned Dragon Warrior (a.k.a. Dragon Quest) VII? That game takes about 120-150 hours NOT including dying, and all the extra stuff to do. Though, that was my brother playing it.

I never play long games myself. I think I have a long road trying to beat the last stage on EBA on Sweatin' difficulty though...

I don't know why everyone says "omg water temple was a nightmare". Ran it in the same amount of time that I did every other temple. If you look at the bloody map it's not difficult to figure out.

Ironically it was even easier in Master Quest. You could skip 80% of it, too.

YEA!! lol water temple just needs a bit of memory work.

Majoras mask took longest for me because i kept not having enough time to beat the 3 day thing and then i got pissed and threw my controller. took me abiout a month to beat

What the hell? Everyone says Water Temple and the G. Desert are the most annoying(or difficult) parts of OoT.

To me, Water Temple and G. Desert are my favorite parts, as well as the ones I had the easiest time with :/

Longest game for me, no idea, I have FF 7, 8, 9, X, X-2 all at 99:5959

As for zelda, I've beat ocarina at least 4 times, majoras 2, and master quest once ON MY LAPTOP.
I'm currently working on ocarina on my laptop, it's somewhat difficult using ZXC as ZAB, but FFr has helped me get down the arrow keys for movement quite well.

Um, my FFX is at over 100 hours.

It cannot be at 99:59 unless you quit there.
