It's 100% copyright issues as far as I know... It was put on in honor of him, and is only removed because if left up any longer than a week every year it would be a copyright issue.

Also, who said they were removing it? I simply said today may be the last day for you to play it. That doesn't mean it's getting removed. I know I will be able to play it long after this. =)

We don't have permission for Captain Jack's music, so we temporarially put one of his songs in the game after there was news of his death, and were forced to take it down a week later due to the copyright issues.

FFR had informal permission from Captain Jack's niece, daughter or some relative, though were denied permission from the record label. In honor of his death, the song was put in the game, disregarding the copyright issues at hand. After the period of time Synthlight stated it would be in the game for, he removed it.
