Re: Does a faster arrow speed make the song easier?
Depends on how you like to play.
Like chardish said, you can't really see bpm changes and stops using a c-mod. But, it can get difficult trying to figure out if you should use 1.5x or 2x or 3x or whatever to get the song close to what you like. And even then, it probably won't be exactly right for you.
Those are the disadvantages of each, though I guess "disadvantage" is relative, since that's what we're talking about in this thread.
As far as advantages, I like using my C550 mod because for some reason I need the arrows to fly up ridiculously fast otherwise I can't follow the beat. The only other thing I can think of is that using a cmod makes it easier to get better at the game, or at least it made it easier for me.
Experiment! No one can tell you how you'll play the game best.

Hah yea you're right. I didn't even see that the original post was in 2003! I can't go that fast! How long have you been playing?

Re: Does a faster arrow speed make the song easier?
40 - 60 BPM: x8
60 - 90 BPM: x6
90 - 120 BPM: x5
120 - 150 BMP: x4
150 - 190 BMP: x3
190 - 280 BMP: x2.5 (if you have an ITG skin)
280 - 350 BMP: x2
350 - 400 BMP: x1.5
400 - 700 BMP: x1
700 - 1000 BMP: anything lower than x1
Those are my standards... O.o Also, for all you players that change the speed mod. to anything with "C" at the beginning (ex: C450), stop. Right now. That's the cheat way of playing. Yes, they do make the song a certain speed, but they also cancel out ALL BPM changes in a song. C300 is basically the same speed as x3, and C450 is like a x4.5, etc.Last edited by x velo x; 03-31-2007, 10:51 PM.

Faster arrows make it harder for me. It usually starts to confuse me and befuddle me and then I just can't help but stop doing what I was doing in the first place and stare until it says I failed it... ^.^;sigpic
The world has gone crazy and so have I.
