    IXD, two problems.
    1) Condoms are not foolproof and do not stop all diseases. And using 2 doesn't help any, it actually makes it more likely to break.
    2) You can't always tell if you have an STD. You need to get tested regularly if you are sexually active. I refuse to go near the genitals of anyone who has a sexual history and has not been tested, no matter if they are showing symptoms or not. HIV is a major one that you do NOT want to catch (no no no, you really don't) and people often can't tell if they have HIV.

Oh and one more.... it's not "every person your partner has had sex with in the past 10 years", it's everyone they've had sex with in their entire LIVES.
C is for Charisma, it's why people think I'm great! I make my friends all laugh and smile and never want to hate!

You put it so simply, it makes me wonder why I dislike sluts so much.

Sex education in my school district is mainly about STDs/STIs. I mean the images are pretty damn scarring and discourage you from sleeping around, but the school doesn't do a great job of promoting safe sex or abstinence. I personally believe that every kid should learn about the body systems, about the risks of sex (STDs/STIs, the pull-out method risk, not using condoms, etc), and they should learn something along the lines of that sex shouldn't be something rushed at an early age. Kids get sexually involved these days, with not much knowledge of what is going on. It's pretty ridiculous when you see 10-20 freshman/sophomore girls pregnant, and about that many junior girls that have babies already.

                  Yeah. That's what I thought.

To be entirely honest, no. I don't care about what other guys do in their free time. I do understand that sex takes two persons and that both the guy and the girl are as responsible for the act as the other.

Maybe it's just because I'm not getting any, but it honestly breaks my heart everytime I hear stories about girls having random sex (e.g. some girl gave a blowjob to a guy at a party or got fingered). It's not as bad if they're actually in a relationship though.

I don't understand. So why is it ok for guys but not girls? There has to be a reason. Personally I loathe the double standard. Guys can be "players" but girls are "sluts".

Well, I probably have more formal learning in human sexuality than any of your teachers. The only sex education your teachers probably have, is that of being an adult. At least, that's how ours were. They even told us some things that were wrong. :\ And they were extremely conservative and couldn't answer a lot of questions out of the embarassment.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. I'm pretty much as clueless as you on this one. It's just how it makes me feel, but there aren't really any thoughts going through my mind. Maybe it's just jaleousy.

                          Hm.....

I've been thinking. I'd probably like that job. Sex ed teacher. Too bad they never have sex ed teachers, they just use their phys ed teacher for all things health.

I should be a school counsellor. Mmmm.

Yeah. I'd like that. I should try to get started in that somehow.

And I'd like to investigate this career track at the moment, but right now I must sleep so that I can handle my day tomorrow. I need to get into Honours Psychology, or my career plans go out the window, so right now grades are my priority.

PS If you have any questions, I can probably answer them better than your teacher, so skip it and just PM me. I'm often busy but you shouldn't have to wait more than 2 days for a reply.

everybody should have a teacher like in mean girls
if you have sex you will get pregnant and die!
                            ok no...but yea
i never had sex ed...i mean we went over that in health class but that's all
i don't think sex ed promotes sex in general
and i think it can do more good than bad if handled properly

As a guy, I can totally understand the double-standard. Ask me to explain it, though, and I'm incapable. I'll say what I can, though.

First, as a guy, we want sex and only sex. Ever wonder what a guy is thinking? Chances are it's about sex. As such, we're considered (by whom, I don't know. Perhaps men, perhaps women.) to be more slaves to our genitals.

Women, on the other hand, are the more rational beings. Men are beasts; they want nothing more than a warm, moist cavity for their pen0r. Since women are typically the desired receptacle, they have governance over what goes in and what doesn't.

So, men who aren't thinking with their big brains are just doing what every man wants to: get some poon. Women, on the other hand, as the sought and not the seeker, allow guys inside and are making active, rational choices to have sex with these people. It's almost like inviting the guys in.

A woman kind of lowers herself every time she has sex with another guy because doing so is an exhibition of a lack of either restraint or self-respect or something like that (and, as we know, sluts are not well-regarded for their restraint/self-respect/what have you), whereas a guy who is willing to have sex with whomever he can is just a normal guy.

I think that last paragraph was the best summary I made of all of those. I was pretty much just typing out some thoughts. As such, these points aren't exactly up for debate. I know they don't apply for everyone, I know they're bad/stupid reasons, are sweeping generalizations, and don't take into account numerous things like women's desires, but I would think that that's some of the foudational thinking behind the double standard. That's just my guess.

Maybe there's also something with the societal views of men as the domineering ones and women as the submissive ones. A man going out and doing a bunch of local girls is sort of exerting his dominance over the smaller, weaker creatures. As such, the woman who actively seeks out sex (the slut) is putting herself in an out-of-gender role due to weakness or lascivity, neither of which are desirable traits.

                              Just talking out loud, here.

For me, though, I find it just as disgusting to hear guys talk about having sex with many different people as it is to hear girls doing the same thing. The double standard comes in, however, in my reaction. I have more pity for the girl, while I just don't respect the guy.

                              I dunno.
