Re: hmm, look at these plants... wierd like jchins slug
no, not CGI, its all real... time lapsed... in reality rthe things move slowly, and yes alot of them seem to be blinking and what not, but its sped up... and for the ones that open and close, think of the morning glory flowers: they open in the morning, to the sunlight, and close at night with the absense of light, its a slow process, but if sped up it would look exactly like the plants you just saw... and thing of tulips, they also open and close slightly to changes in light... now the venus fly trap is naturally that fast, with the simple touch of an insect, it closes immediately... all those plants are in fact REAL and TANGIBLE... quote naruto "believe it!"
this plant also closes when touched... watch closelyLast edited by IaMtHeEaStErBuNnY; 03-24-2007, 09:02 PM.Now owning 24/7... your friend, sigpic, the Easter Bunny...

Re: hmm, look at these plants... wierd like jchins slug
so your saying this is all fake??? well then, are you also banning the possibility of plants such as these??? (if these are fake or not becomes irrelevant at this point) i mean, if flytraps and day lillies are real, and other PROVEN plants exist that move and react with their surroundings, do you suppose there are others like them??? that even resemble what is in the clip???Now owning 24/7... your friend, sigpic, the Easter Bunny...

It's a digital studio's artwork, check them out on cgtalk
1. http://www.1st-ave-machine.com/
2. Click on the words "Sixes Last" (weird UI)
3. Click the words "View Quicktime_Movie" in the top left
4. Watch in relief that it's in flash and not quicktime
5. Ponder the fact that this is some of the best digital art you've ever seen
6. Check out all the other projects
7. Gape in awe for a couple hours
