Proving my point. Any game where you have to cause yourself physical pain in order to play is no longer a game, it is work / stupidity. Guitar Hero 1 was done right, Guitar Hero II failed.
Yea I mean like sports right. There no fun because you have to....... I mean, I mean, wait. No. I mean, wait. Oh right, yea. That outlook is f*cking retarded. There are a few games that would cause physical pain. DDR for one. That's fun, lots of fun, it physically tires me out. When I first had it my feet where killing me after a big session on it, but I had sooooooooooooooooooo much fun playing it.
If getting hurt on a game means it's not a game, then what about being emotionally hurt by a game?
And what about DDR? It hurts when you play too much.
And.. fighting games. Mashing buttons for hours is painful.

Do you guys hammer on and do pull offs? I went into tutorial and learnt them but I think it'll take a while before I can incorporate them into the game. Is it like essential? Seems like it would help a lot if you practice them, for solos so you don't have to strum at an awkward or erratic pace.
What do you guys think? I can see levels being done without them like.
I havent been in this thread in a while. Damn Shash. You got good fast. Im guessing you dont have a job and therefore have a lot of free time? I started trying to five star stuff and i got all but like six i think. (the number, not the song)
and as for me...3 weeks of GH1 before my whammy bar broke...then 6 days of GH2 so far.
EDIT: LOG. Got Institutionalized first try today, and got a COMPLETELY flukey run on Carry Me Home (did not hit a single one of the fast annoying chord transfers), mostly aided by getting basically perfect SP on the parts with lots of 3-fret-chords.
Log after three weeks of GH1 and 6 days of GH2. Oh yeah.
My only songs left to 5* are Misirlou (4* at around 176k), Six (4* at around 242k) and Jordan (failure).
Basically, with Misirlou, if you can get the slow (yes, slow) doublestrum that is throughout, you can get it. I just havent played in a while so i need to just stand up and practice it. Six is similar, but the double strum is sooo much faster. The main rhythym is annoying, but ive gotten pretty damn good at it. I know I could easily improve my score if I could just keep a goddam streak in that song tho.
And Jordan is gonna be luck the first time i beat it. gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
EDIT: Also, I completely agree with Shash on the HO/PO comment.
I'm not getting any better at GH2 at all. I'm very close to 5 starring everything in Expert but I can't 5 star anything below Madhouse, except for YYZ. The rest are a HUGE jump in difficulty.

Darlene is like a prestigious MP lobby chatter in the summer of '06. Everyone mentions her name all the time, saying that they miss her, myself included. :] We're glad to have you back.
