the only thing that ever happened is at an arcade in quebec city.

My friend and I were on a school trip to quebec from edmonton so we decided to play a little DDR there. We were both playing standard, and there was a bunch of little kids in the arcade. Some would stop for a while and watch us for a song or two and leave, but there was one kid who just stared at us for like an hour. He didn't say anything or do anything, he just sat on this racing maching beside the DDR machine and just stared us blankly without blinking, kinda like a wax figure, kinda freaky.

heh... im had nothing of the sort happen to me on arcades, as i cant pass any of the max songs, though somehow can seem to get an A or B on every other 9 i can think of (dont ask how, im not sure either)

though at school someone uploaded stepmania on the sever there, and whenever anyone sees me playing it they either just stand there staring like some kinda idiot, have a total spaz and go tell everone that i just AAed legend of max with my fingers (*sigh*), or tell me that i have way too much time on my hands...

      the latter is probobly true

it's kind of weird how people will think other people are amazing at games like ffr or ddr or any music game, but then they think nothing of someone good at the piano, even though the piano is much harder. i guess it's because most people can distinguish good from bad on things like the piano, but they don't know what is good or what is bad on games like DDR.

Once I went to the local arcade ("blasters family fun center") and started to warm up, I started with love shine (heavy) and by the end of the song there were loke 10 people watching me. when the song ended I turned around and they all stared at me, then scattered.

Whats also funny is I'm only 13. So sometimes people are playing when I get to the arcade who are like 16 and playing on standard, so I wait for them to finish a game then ask them to play versus. And their all like "sure." So I go into beginer and before we start a song I go into heavy and beat them. Its pretty fun. lol

Yeah its uber funny to see high schoolers have a tough time on standard, it just is. But I've seen some pretty bad players before, like the 18 year old who failed Love Shine on Beginner, thats just stupid... I wouldnt teaste him though because he could kick my ass like nothing... But I did play him, I played light, and then went to heavy and embaraased him in front of his other n00b friends. Meh, it was for the fun of it...

Oh and once, there was like a 10 year old playing light, and then I shadowed her on the other side, and I played the song backwards while looking backwards, and then people were like "Oh hes good" and crap to me :-\ Then it was my turn to play and my parents were like "oooo" and crap...
