Re: Why must people step popular songs?
Well, I am taking a bunch of songs from KBMP 1-2, CKBMP 1-2, and KBC 1-2, and making my own DDR mix, all pad songs, with an unlock system.
I can't make themes or noteskins, so I wont use that.Comment

Re: Why must people step popular songs?
Well the first question is, why should people only step songs no one's ever heard of before?
And secondly Hip-Hop is a great thing to step. there is a difference between Rap and hip-Hop you know. Hip hop has a lot of rhythm to it and a lot of vocal melodies that you can play with (kind of technical stepping). If you're actually good at hearing the music it doesn't have to be that slow.
Punk Rock is pushing it a little bit, but some songs definitely have enough there to work with. "Emo" (I doubt you can even describe the music properly anyways) music is kind of hard to do because most of what I hear nowadays doesn't have substance to it to step.
My problem with all you steppers is that you suck ass at making Simfiles. You don't make them hard at all, you just make the charts have more doubles and triples to make **** harder. That's not difficulty. That's just dexterity. You guys only replicate the music, you don't accompany the music. Most of the charts I see nowadays are generic as fuk. Everyone follows the same formula, just because a few accomplished sim artists used it. all you damn spread players complain that index charts suck ass and are boring pieces of crap. Well what are your spread charts? A bunch of 16th streams with some doubles added in. Big deal. It's the same damn pattern with a few doubles instead to make it look harder. It doesn't accompany the music any better (except from a Beatmania PoV, but what about Drummania then) and it doesn't "sound" harder like it should. Yeah that's WAY better....
(Yeah i know that guy is banned already...)Last edited by Riktor; 01-18-2009, 09:05 AM.Comment
