It seems like it's mostly boys who DDR, but lately I've been noticing more and more girls lining up for the DDREX machine at the mall. Before, it was 2 or 3 girls wanting to play on BEGINNER. But now it's different, more like 5-6 girls playing Standard and even HEAVY. Guess the boys have some more challenges now But unfortunately, what annoys me most, is how boys STEREOTYPE girls who play DDR, either by calling them tomboys, wannabes, or 'idiotic bitch having a seizure' (yes i have in fact been called that lmao* Anyone ever notice this? and a side question, are there any girls around here who DDR?

wow thats really werid, cuz from my school its kind of werid if a guy does it, becuz i guess i introduced it with this one other girl to my whole school, so i guess its considered a girl thing at my school...... i mean some guys play it but its more commen to find to find girls playing it...... its considered dancing and i guess more girls at my school dance.

yea, i dont think ive seen too many girls who play that either A. are good (including myself in this) B. dont look insanely hilarious when they play (bringing there knees to there chest and stomping... i see that more often then not).

the only exception to this was i saw a 12 yr old girl A rhythm and police on heavy... no wait, it was two 12 yr old girls... playing versus... i just thought that was weird though.

My boyfriend was the one that got me into playing DDR. Heck, I've even gotten my little sister hooked on it. I'm not the best DDRer, but, then again, I'm just starting into standard mode and still need a little practice. 8)

Personally, I don't think it really matters if your a guy or a girl as long as you are enjoying yourself while playing. Around where I live, I do notice that people are impressed when girls can pass songs on standard or heavy mode...only because it's mostly the guys that play those modes.

That's my thought on the matter...

Its all about the gaming and having a fun time, and for people that do rip on girls playing your just stupid and wasting your time on a your day off.
