    Re: HOW TO DO CROSSOVERS

AM-3P Heavy has one long pivot crossover at the beginning. Spin the Disc has some fun crosses, too, including one that you can do behind your back without having to spin.

I play heavy like 8-9-easy10 footers. I don't mind going back to basics though to learn crossovers like. It's got to be a song from a DDRUK pack though. I have mixs 1 - 8 and the 2 euromixs.

I have to say that Oasis expert has some of the gayest crossovers ever created.

Just had to get that off my chest.

            Re: HOW TO DO CROSSOVERS

Doing crossovers with the bar is a lot harder than without. That's one disadvantage of using the bar. Ofhentimes I'll double step 48684 but cross over for 42624 simply because with the bar it's more difficult to reach behind your front leg than just hanging back, pivoting over the down arrow.

There's the one weirdass crossover on exotic ethnic that's keeping me from FC'ing the song. It goes something like 4268624268[28]. What's the trick to that one?

            Class: Two Hand 3-Finger
HP: 200 (16th stream combo speed)
            Strength: 155 (max jack speed)
Defense: 205 (8th jump stream speed)
            Speed: 225 (pass stream speed)
Accuracy: 88 (average percent of marvs)
Stamina: 215 (consistent 16th stream survival)
            Evasion: 650 (comfort scroll rate)

First off, why do people refer to it as numpad keys when LDUR is easier to comprehend?

Second off, you start that run turned to the left, meaning your right foot should be hitting the first step in that sequence. I think the steps prior to it lead you into it pretty nicely since I've never had the need to double step any of Exotic Ethnic. Starting on your left forces you to double step or to do a fancy behind-the-back half-spin.

Yeah thats true, unless you use one hand like Kevbo (Megaman X) did on bloodrush. You see how can use one hand on the the crossovers. Must have took a long time to get it down.

Um he only did that at the beginning of the song and those arent the only 486 684 crossovers in that song, you watch at the end he holds the bar the entire way through. I use the bar when I crossover or under pretty much every time, especially on stuff as fast as bloodrush, the key is to use your heel on the 486 684.

                        Re: HOW TO DO CROSSOVERS

Seth, you think double stepping is easier then crossovers? I double step 4868 usually, and rarely at other times. I always play bar, and I just go one-hand on crossovers, pretty much solves the problem.

                        Raikou - on 4268624268, I go 4-L 2-R 6-R 8-L 6-R 2-L 4-R 2-L 6-R 8-L

Best for me, because it's only one double step.

And Can't Stop Fallin' In Love is an EASY AA, one of the first I ever got.

                          Re: HOW TO DO CROSSOVERS

Crossovers are very fun and are a lot easier to do than double stepping I think. I crossover on both LDRDL and LURUL and vice versa. I've implemented the crossover style in all my simfiles. They're just so fun! If you're new to learning how to do crossovers, some examples of songs that I've noticed are Spin the Disc, V, Can't Stop Falling In Love (Speed Mix), and Jet World to name a few. I also noticed that Drop Out has crossover jumps which were pretty interesting.

                            Re: HOW TO DO CROSSOVERS

sync (the song) on heavy is a good way to learn crossovers since it has repetative simple 123, 123, LDR, RDL, LUR, RUL patterns.

+ what also helps is to turn your feet as sideways as you can towards the direction you're moving.

As in if you're doing a LDR crossover you want both you're feet to be pointed to the right and doing that requires less movement of your whole body so its easier + less draining. For a LUR crossover (under) you want your feet to be pointed to the left and hit the R arrow with your heel.
