That is a ridiculous underestimation. PLEASE cite some sort of source, here, because I don't believe those numbers for a second. We've taken hundreds of years to get to the point where we are right now, which is still a very stable position. Fifty to sixty years left for humanity is just ridiculous.

And anyway, if we DO ever get to the point where we estimate fifty more years of life, electing a green party president wouldn't do anything.

Mother Earth is doing JUST FINE at the moment; we're still concerned with future problems before current problems, for the most part.

The world is not doing so well. Estimated 50-60 years left of this planet before we destroy its resources and the earth burns up because of the atmosphere. We realy have to find a president that will take this and DO SOMETHING about it.

Mother Earth isn't doing too well.
The earth is far from burning up all if it's resources. Scientists said the same things 50-60 years ago and has the earth had problems yet? No. We're not going to die from flooding due to "global warming" (The earth has warming and cooling cycles, CO2 is not much of a cause of this tempoary warming.), we're not gonna die any time soon from a meteor hitting the earth. We're not going to die from lack of oxygen due to deforestation. Where you get the idea that we would makes no sense. The environment is should not be a main concern in this time of war. You are the kind of people that, when put in a higher position, would screw our country over and ruin our country for the future (Not in an environmental way, you tree huggers would do anything to save the forests. In a friend/enemy way, you coudn't defend the country if you were told exactly what to do.)

Although I wouldn't have told it as much, I agree with him.

I'll find more later. States there we only have 10 years but thats rediculous. I saw many articles a couple years back saying we only have 50-60 years left because of the melting of icecaps and such. BECAUSE, the melting of all the ice will flood out the coasts and eventualy entire continents. On top of that it will be getting too hot to live on earth because of the Ozone layer.

I will suggest this to you. http://youtube.com/results?search_qu...nvenient+truth

At least go out and watch the movie.

There are also many other things that show it outside of him. Educate yourselfs.

            Irony.

And can the ice caps really whipe out entire continents? Even when that unfateful day comes, I seriously doubt that all continents will be submerged.

Yes. Not up to the highest mountaintops or anything, but yes.

lol I guess those who are so racist they wouldn't want a black president probably won't be voting anyway. They probably don't have a car, only a pet pig they try to ride on the weekends.

Climate change has damn near been proven, the warming and cooling cycles of the earth are not fast enough to account for the changes we are experiencing.
I'd rather have a tree hugger as a president than you, a guy who doesn't think terrorists have a right to a fair trial.

Lamoc, I don't know where you read the 60 year thing but it was a load of poo. Water levels may have risen slightly but we will be no where near the point of whole continents being submerged and you will not have to live underwater, don't worry. Although personally I would think that would be pretty cool, I'm thinking Star wars: Phantom Menace style, jar jar binx's people.

Hey, people might evolve. Those intelligent beings that moved up to the mountains could begin to spawn gills over thousands of years, seeing as they would then have to swim from place to place.

Might sound far-fetched, but think of the other creatures that have gone through evolution (e.g. the tube worm). Look how they turned out.

If you've seen the numerous other threads about global warming, you'd know that the flooding can be delayed, but cannot in any for or fashion be stopped.

And the next few years? I know what you mean, but it takes thousands (If not hundreds of thousands) of years to evolve. We certainly won't evolve before the great flood occurs.

I never said it weren't proven. I know climate change has been proven. What I'm saying is that it's not out of control, nothing we need to worry much about. And since the earth does go through warming/cooling cycles, then we know that the earth is currently in a warming cycle. And in 30+ years or so the earth will start it cooling cycle.

I don't ever plan on being president just so you know. But I don't think terrorists deserve a trial because if they are the person we were searching for (Such as Saddam but he's gone.) then they deserve the death sentence. I personally don't want a killer left alive who wants me and everyone around me dead. If they are a possible terrosist then I'd let them have a trial that would be fair. That doesn't mean I would go easy on them and treat them like that just stole $100 from a store. But at least they'd get a trial.

Yes, most of the earth could be submerged in water if all the ice caps and such melted. That chance that day will ever come is very slim.
