My favorite anime would have to be "Elfen Lied". The story, the style, the way everything "flows", and, of course, the ending. Everything about that anime makes me go into a state of ecstasy. The depth of the story alone makes it my favorite, everything else is just "the icing on the cake".

Ah yes, Elfen Lied is great. I'm not too thrilled about the ending, but I love the artwork, the story, the person with infantile knowledge concept (Also part of why I like Chobits), and the captive live humanoid experiment thing.

And the opening. I swear, that is a unique opening. Beautiful artwork, beautiful music, I haven't seen anything like it.

Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, Souko no Strain, Lucky Star, Sola and Descendants of Darkness.

EDIT: The Gravitation manga was awesome, but the anime is just trash.
