Re: Can your avatar affect your rep?
I change my avatar regularly; sometimes it makes it a little difficult to quick search for my own posts, but whatever. I don't think the avatar really has anything to do with who one is besides the color I associate with the name.

Re: Can your avatar affect your rep?
For newbies to the forum, I use avatars as a rough estimate as to their personality. For veterans, I mainly use them as quick identification.
Some people have awesome avatars, though.Comment

Re: Can your avatar affect your rep?
Yes, but inappropriate avatars (with immature themes such as "owned" animations) and unoriginal avatars (I remember someone copied dore's avatar) seem to put a red flag screaming "I'm a noob!" when I see it.Comment

Re: Can your avatar affect your rep?
I'm pretty sure one of them had some guy/girl with a heart drawn onto him/her.
As for this topic, I'm not sure what you would think of me by my avatar, other than my simfiles.Comment

I know one of yours was that guy (cop?) with the sunglasses, pointing at you.

Re: Can your avatar affect your rep?
There was a picture of tass' head rotating
I remember that one!
There must have been a poker player too for that TWG
maybe?
anyway, whenever I see a user, I imagine that their avatar is sitting at their computer. I imagine them as their avatar walking around.
ex. Pumble is Mr Game and Watch
Tokzic has a green backgroud behind him always
pichu is a pokemon
etc. etc.Comment

Re: Can your avatar affect your rep?
Its all subconcious its not like you sit there and stare at someones avatar trying to find out what their personality is like. Sadly enough you generally judge someones tone purely on what their avatar looks like. If it is happy and nice then you think they are a happy person with a good tone. Knowing this im sure many people look at my avatar and think i am either very serious or that im emo, which neither is the case....

Re: Can your avatar affect your rep?
I like anime but only certain ones. I have watched a lot but there are only a few that i actually am willing to give good reviews towards and as you can tell Rurouni Kenshin is at the top of my recommendation list.
Actually... i think im going to use this as an excuse to change it to a happier looking one.

Re: Can your avatar affect your rep?
Don't double post. That could have easily been fit into one post.
IMHO, first impressions of an avatar give someone an idea of what they are like. Beyond that, it is up for them to get to know the person to find out what their personality is like, etc, etc.Comment

Re: Can your avatar affect your rep?
Wait a second... i didnt double post though. Pichu_XP responded to my first post saying that my avatar just makes them think i am a fan of anime and then i responded to that... That really is weird, its almost like that post was deleted or something because trust me, i am very particular about doing those things like double posting.
