    This is the best advice I can give, for I was where you are a little while back.

    Go to the FFR R1 Actual difficulties page and find some songs you can just barely fc. Play them play them play them, and play them some more. After long enough, you will simply be able to read the paterns out of algarythm. Also, playing SM helps. I look at the arrows as a whole.
    Hey, I'm a pro-amateur smash player.

        Play spread. Either use the arrow keys + numpad arrow keys or download www.autohotkey.com and make a script somewhat like this:

        a::Send {left}
        s::Send {down}
        k::Send {up}
        l::Send {right}
        I really like that setup. I just felt of it and it is definately not cluttered.

        Will try it right away to see if it works for me.

        Also, playing SM helps. I look at the arrows as a whole.
        I have SM but I'm having trouble finding sims I can actually play. Most of them that I find, like here, are either easy or way too difficult. I'd be very pleased if someone could point my towards some intermediate sims. =]

        Thanks for all your helpful posts guys. =]
        I expected some kind of flaming I guess. Being a message board with so many people. heh.

              I'll never be extremly good at FFR, but I guess I have some advice. I'm pretty much in your position right now, I hate easy/slow songs, and master and guru songs I can't beat without mashing. Songs I play quite a bit to get used to streams are Secret Zombie Room, Life goes on, One Last Battle, and Alpha Helix (all For Great Justice! songs). Stalled out and Sushi Bars is a good one to.

                as someone said play stepmania
                20x easier
                and that is where you can play the sim files

                    Okay, I just want to thank this thread for existing. I had never heard of screenshrinking before. So I tried it and OMGWTF I am better.
                    lots of hearts and love to the screenshrinkers!
