I'm not even sure if I've posted my number yet.

      8075-4269-5072-9306

Didn't see it in the list.

The reason I haven't had a chance to really utilize the online experience is due to the fact that I only have wireless access when I'm at my father's; every other weekend. I'm still waiting on that USB adapter to come out.

      PS: Added everyone.

Re: Wii Owners: Post your console numbers

Yeah, I turned Standby back on for about 10 hours today. The console is incredibly warm.

I should note that my room temperature is normally around 75-80 degrees because of a poor ventilation system that keeps all of the heat in my room no matter what (though I quite like it at night when it's off and the heat is still in the room). Also really nice in the summer when all the A/C gets trapped in here.

Since the messaging system is based on e-mail, I would expect it to work regardless of whether or not the console is on. I mean, if I send you an e-mail and your computer is off, is it going to come back to me saying "their computer was off so it didn't go through"?

I turned Standby off again because the console is getting way too hot while "off". That and there's absolutely no reason for it to be on if nobody's sending me anything. None of the games work over Connect24 yet.

Edit: Today I got on and, lo and behold, the messages that were waiting for me were received. Here's what I think happened: Jamuko sent the messages without the router working, so they were stored on her console. I can't say for certain that she has it working now, but if she does, it proves that I don't need to leave my console on in order to have it receive.

I also got a message from Seth. Did you send it today? I want to verify that Standby doesn't really have to be on because I really don't like it =/

Oh, and my parade has 45 people in it... but I didn't see a pikachu.

I can't remember lol. Wasn't long ago like. I'm working on getting a better connection in my room as my Wii is quite far away from my USB thingy. It's a pain because the signal keeps going on and off, with one bar of signal. It's very annoying. I don't know whether to buy another router or something.

Re: Wii Owners: Post your console numbers

Hmm, odd. I thought my router was working when I sent them. I still haven't gotten it working again, but I did take the Wii to my friend's house (WITH working wireless) on Saturday night, and received some messages (from nforcer and Bandit). (I thought I sent you my Pikachu, Squeek; if not I'll send it again next time I have access.)

My Wii lags in the Wii menu when making contact with the server... :/ it's even frozen a couple times (mostly when trying to access a non-game channel while receiving a message). My friend's console even froze in the middle of Wii Baseball o_O unsure if that was internet-related or just a glitch, but I haven't heard her mention it again, so hopefully it was a freak occurrence.

Messages get sorted into a day according to when you receive them, not when they're set. For instance, my Wii was blinking one night well before midnight, but when I turned on the console the next day, the messages were sorted in that day.

I am well aware of that.

I'm just saying, why did I receive them Sunday? There had to be a reason.

I did not leave it on Standby before I went to work. I DID have Standby on for a little bit on Saturday, but never received a message and turned it off. I turned the console on after turning off Standby to play some Sports, then shut it off for the night. Woke up, went to work, came home, played, saw those messages.

So they were not received while it was on Standby. They were received when it was just on.

This is assuming, or course, that he has a linksys router.

Open ports on your router with our port forwarding guides. We have guides specific to your router.

Use that to find your router, and just pick any program listed. All you need to do is find out how to access your router and settings; ignore the other instructions. It's for something else a bit more advanced. Do what shox said and you should be good =)
