Becoming an adult actually has its benefits. Beyond being able to buy from headshops and tobacco shops (if you smoke), gambling is hella fun. Best of all, if you ever get busted for possession or underage drinking, your parents won't neccessarily find out- you just get a citation that works the same way as a ticket, you most likely won't even have to go to court.

Being 18 seems awesome, but not because of being of legal age to have sex with anyone else my age and up or being able to smoke. For me, they're a bit smaller but they really make a difference in my life. The biggest one is being able to freely access my bank account which my mom is a bitch about (she puts half of the money from checks that I earn in there. It's really stupid seeing as it's just rotting there for 4 years and it's really not that much money in the real world, but to me right now it's a million bucks). **** yes.

Yes that is also a big +. I drink already so yeah the only thing that sucks now is that i can go to jail legaly... gay. I dont smoke pot or cigs. Never liked pot and i have asthma so i dont smoke cigs.

Where the hell do you live that the legal age to do everything is 18. I thought all of the US was 21, which would suck some massive nuts. I'm in Canada and thought I was lucky to have 19. Although it's 18 in Quebec and Alberta

We can legally smoke at 18. It's the age where we can be drafted into the army, forced to sit on a jury, and become legally independent of our parents.

But we can't drink.

Not like there's any benefit from alcohol or tobacco. It's all just a huge waste of money.

oh btw, im 18 now.

I never said i was legal to do everything, I just ment im a legal adult now. you guys listed preety much everything I could do now but some stuff I thought about that I could do now is:
-Credit card
-rent a hotel
-invest in stocks
-get a tat / piercnig
-down payments on stuff

So yeah those might be fun to do, I think ima get a credit card just so I can rent a hotel. Hehe..

UK is 16 to smoke and have sex ( I think the UK has the Highest number of teenage pregnancies), 17 you can learn how to drive and move out I think. Then 18 is the legal age to buy/drink alcohol and everything else.
