We have three launches three days in a row. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Australia and Italy = Thursday
Europe= Friday
Spain = Saturday

With that done it'll pretty much be in every major worldwide outlet.

In other news, I really want Elebits.

At first glance Elebits looks like Nintendo's Pikmin meets Katamari Damacy and in some ways that wouldn't be far from the truth. The little Elebit aliens resemble Pikmin and the gameplay is reminiscent of Katamari.

Essentially you look all over the current level you occupy in hopes of finding all kinds of Elebits. you zap them with your Wiimote and this in turn raises both the amount of weight you can lift and your Elebit meter. You need so many of a kind of Elebit in most levels to proceed.

Like Katamari when you roll the ball which increasingly gets larger and allows you to pick up larger objects, in Elebits the more you zap the bigger the object you can lift. You start with small plates and cabinet doors but can escalate all the way up to chairs, couches, and even entire houses.

When the hell do we get the Wii Browser? Not like I really need or even want it... it's just aggravating that "Wii Ware" is just a "Oh hay there, but we have nothing for you" screen of crap.

So I know my local Wal-Mart is getting more Wii's in tommorow on Wends. They open at 8 and I'm wondering how early I'll need to be there. 2 hours? More? any suggestions?

Try three just to be safe. That doesn't guarantee you'll get one. People are still lining up like crazy for the Wii.

If possible, get a scout who normally gets up early to drive by several hours in advance to see how bad it is.

Honestly, since it's not a set date of launch, fewer people will know about it. I hesitate to matter-of-factly say two hours will be OK because it's possible that others have known about this before you.

Edit: Yeah, Elebits is the next game I'm getting FOR SURE.. right after Trauma Center since I've already ordered it. That looks so awesometacular.

Well I got up 4 hours ahead of time just to be on the safe side. I'm driving down to the Wal-mart going "Tee-hee, four hours ahead of time on a school day. It is mine!" I get to the place and there is already a line of 36 people. The store only got in 33. I hate this crap.

So it turns out a lot of other people knew.

Did you actually wait around to make sure they were all there for it? Or if maybe there were 36 people but only 30 wanted it? I know in our line, some people were just there to be with their friends.

Changes:

No downhill slope. You are shot from a cannon.
No powerups. Only bananas.
No different stages. It's played like shuffleboard.
Extra ball. You carry a ball on top of your own and it also counts for points.
The balls can collide and knock each other off the board.
Tilting is movement.

Hmm. If I can get my DVD recorder to work with my Wii, I'll record some of it for ya... though that requires some serious moving...

Maybe I'll just webcam it on my ten-year-old webcam.

Ok, all done. I REALLY want to edit it but they decided to make it a .mov format which will not work in ANY OF MY VIDEO EDITING PROGRAMS.

I recorded it on my digital camera and somehow all of these weird clicking noises made their way into the video. I have no idea how.

I guess I can just make another...

Im downloading it now. I'll edit in what I think when I watch it. Man rapidshare always give me jip, I shouldn't complain though as I am downloading the video as I type.

Edit: Awesome. I heard that it was different and feared it was going to different in a bad way. I got to say I will miss the ramp but watching you tilt the controller made me realise that the controller works really well. Can't wait to play it. I couldn't see a wind meter though? I could always land a 500 when the wind was against me. like I said though, the way it controls erases any doubt in my mind and I look forward to beating your high score heh.
