Let's just say Fish is pretty close. I'm 21 hours into it, and am inside the 5th temple.

Fish, wait until you start needing shards. I believe the second shard is the one where you get to see everything clearly.

Then again, I'm not even done getting the three pieces from the first three temples because I've only been going to other people's houses and playing multiplayer games.

My problem is that the sword keeps moving. It's like LOST WOODS then TEMPLE OF TIME then like some other place I don't remember.

I want to know what happened to the sword in Hyrule B and how it can still be used if its wielder doesn't exist anymore.

I imagine it chooses a new boy in green tunic and hat destined person etc. Or link left zelda his seed before he went allowing decendents and such to go on lolz.

            Re: Legend of Zelda Timeline

            Why couldn't it exist?

After link leaves, the sword doesn't leave with him.

Well, now I am searching for the shards. Just means more temples. Temples are fun, bosses are easy.

I doubt it will end directly going into windwaker. It wouldn't allow any games inbetween.

Also, it's supposed to fit into the B timeline correct? Well, in the beginning of windwaker if speaks of them awaiting the hero of time(which I assume is from Ocarina) and then him never coming. Does this mean after the end of twilight princess? Obviously there is a boy garbed in green attemping to save them. I don't really understand how it can fit.

For you debating the timeline: refer to my first post in this thread.

Most of the games are clearly not specifically linked. Trying to draw lines between the games will only leave you confused and upset.

It's not like when they made the original Legend of Zelda that they had a whole intricate storyline made up for a series of games to follow. They're just making things up as they go.

Miyamato already said there is a definite timeline.

They did not have all of these games planned when they made the original game.

If you want timelines just go to Zeldauniverse.net they have alot of them. And some of them kinda make sense.

Of course not. That doesn't mean they didn't later develop a way as they went along that makes it all work though, which I like. Stand alones are great, but tieing it all together (for me) makes the series seem much more meaningful.

I've recently (today) beaten LoZ:TP. Without giving any spoilers, it leaves things rather open-ended in terms of the timeline. Meaning the split theory could still work; although, it wouldn't surprise me if they shoved a game between TP and WW. The end of it does provide some answers, but it also raises some questions.

One flaw in the theory is, like Fish said, LA officially comes after LttP. Though, it doesn't really disrupt the theory. Even if LA lands there instead of after MM, that's okay. It really depends on your perception of MM- that is, whether it's a parallel dimension or simply another place within 'Hyrule' (using that term broadly, let's not talk about the geography... oi). The former lends itself to the theory now if you place LA farther down the timeline. W/e.

                            Since we're on the subject.

Holy crap someone find the soundtrack for this game. I have to have the piano score that takes place after the third temple is over (hard to avoid spoilers here).

I HAVE TO HAVE IT. I don't even want to continue playing so I can keep hearing this song.

<3, that part was beautiful. Kinda reminds me of one of the themes from Majora's Mask.

I'm actually disappointed with the soundtrack. Not up to standard. Howling idea is disappointing as well.

                                I assume Loz:TO is Loz:TP.
