As far as that's concerned, 古典, 'koten' literally means 'classical' or 'classic', but I'm not quite sure how they would differentiate between the use of that or the katakana word.

It is indeed true. However, Anime News Network has it listed as coming out in Japan in 2007, so the U.S. release will probably be quite a bit slower.

If you copy any song to the "Sounds" folder, rename it battle_loop and delete the old battle_loop sound file, it will play (and subsequently speed up) whichever song you choose.
