nope. the $CFG variable is an object, as jason said. it was created by calling a class. $CFG->anythinghere is a variable or a function that exists within the class.

eg.

$CFG = new someClass;
...

yes definatly.

as a web developer (at the tender age of 16 :P) i started out by learning HTML, then CSS followed by PHP and JavaScript. (self taught)

so yes learn css next
