Updated rosters and high scores. They were an eye-sore without commas for experience/bonus experience and some rounding on the levels.

NOTE: The decimal places on your level display are your percentages to your next level. As we started off sing-ups with Level: XX. XX% to XX. We just left off the other half and assumed people would understand. This is just an official post just in case.

I suppose so, but I would have to have access to every single level badge, and the FFR RPG admins would have to approve it. It'd probably take me less than an hour to do all 100 of them if lots of people actually like the idea.

Yeah, I would imagine that not everyone wants their badge to shine. It seems rather cumbersome to request for it to be implemented in the exp page, but also keep the other badges there as well.

I'll just keep taking requests, and if a decent amount of people want their badges to shine, I'll just convert all the levels and direct them to where they can get the shiny version.

I figured it would make sense that only your most recent level should shine, considering that is the one you would want to showcase the most. If I'm wrong, I'll do the two other levels as well:

It doesn't overflow the spreadsheet at all. It's just google's lack of updating and checking the spreadsheets I make them reference at the wrong times.

The largest problem: 50 importXML and importRange functions allowed per spreadsheet. These are the functions I use to gather data. importXML gets all information from tags I specify from a site. importRange is a function that lets me reference different spreadsheets. This allows me to gather ALL the information from a source in one simple function. This means I could get 50 different spreadsheets information into one. This is how the pyramiding started.

Here's how I have it setup for bonus exp from the event we had:
1. Event (round 1 and 2) are summed up and on a single spreadsheet
2. All events are referred to a Master Event Exp sheet for organizing reasons and function limit get around
3. A Master Bonus Exp spreadsheet then gathers all bonus exp from mobs, bosses, and events. The difference with mobs and bosses is that they're 1 less spreadsheet reference. We'll just input the data and have it added together in an organized way.
4. High scores references the Master Bonus Exp spreadsheet that is displayed on the high scores. This is where Velo takes the bonus and automatically adds it to your total exp on site which then I obtain that exp for the high scores and rosters.

If anyting from 1 or 2 get behind or stalled, it returns N/A VALUE to the next spreadsheet then 0's for anything after. It's a slight complication that isn't detrimental or breaking the system at this point.

Congrats to all level ups!

Added bonus exp breakdown link to high scores page and adding it to the OP now. Link here.
May keep track of the amount of bosses and mobs you killed and events you participated. Not sure on that statistic.

EDIT: And made high scores look better.

Speaking of the bonus XP, how much is level 58-59? I played a lot for the tournament, and was close to top for the bonus XP in round two. Thanks for investigating.

FFR RPG Mobs


Yes, folks, welcome to the v1.7 update of The (Unofficial) FFR RPG (BETA) - mobs!

We've spent hours on end thinking up and modifying the mob system (and making a ton of obscure references while we were at it), and now we're giving a test run a go. Here's a quick rundown of what we have in store for you for the time being:


Daily Mobs
==========
Daily mobs will be the only available type of mobs for the time being. These aren't necessarily daily - they will simply last around 24 hours upon "spawning" for you to defeat. Battle rules are simple - when any of the admins "spawn" (announce via a post) a daily mob (or daily mobs), we will post information such as the name of the monster, the monster pic (read: stock photos and various images we found through Google's wondrous image search - this might change eventually), level, songs, and HP. You will be playing the songs the monster requires you to play, and trying to get as high a total score across those songs as you can. When you would like to attack the monster, simply post your scores in a screenie containing your username and the timestamp of the play (only your best scores will count at the end of the day). Your total score will be the damage inflicted, and of course, if it goes over the monster's HP, you will be victorious! At the end of the 24 hours, we will be awarding bonus EXP, which will be based on the monster level, your own level, and the monster's HP. (Formulas are subject to change if we feel that they're unfair. Please keep in mind that this is an early beta stage of mobs, and we will be more than happy to hear out your suggestions regarding the system or the EXP awarded.)

Sometimes, you will see the monster's name in red. This means that the monster has more than the "standard HP" (which was determined by the monster tier) and will be harder to defeat. These will be spawned at random for an added challenge - awarding 10% more EXP than the monster would normally!

Please keep in mind that Daily Mobs will cycle through monsters of all levels, to cater to everyone from our beginner players to the greatest of our arrowsmashing titans. In the near future, we will be releasing Request Mobs, which should give each player a better challenge to fit their skill level. But we'll save those for later. =P

As celebration of our first update with mobs, I give you not one, but THREE mobs to take on for today! You may choose to battle as few or as many of these as you would like:

It's combo scoring. The HP they have are based on the total score of the song(s) in play.

For now, everything is combo scoring. Your goal is to get a total score that's greater than the monster HP.

Doesn't matter - and EXP is based on the monster's HP, so you may not want to put in TOO much effort and rage into getting scores for the easier monsters =P

Note: Damage inflicted will be based on the score assuming you played the songs separately - e.g. FFR Pro 21 deals 3,978,830 damage with those scores, enough to defeat Mad Teacher.

Very happy to still be able to FC this; last time I played Little God Channel, I got something like 0-0-3-2 because I had blocks on that weird trill + 32nd mini-burst stuff involving the L/D/R arrows, haha.

I'll take out Tier 4/6 in a bit.

Side-note: Bonus Exp may be missing for a few minutes. I'm tired of it glitching so I'm putting it in hardcore mode. 1 less check for google to screw up.

Don't forget: your mob exp is updated live (this time)! Which means it's already added to your exp! Yayyyyyy!


Side-note completed: made event exp one less spreadsheet lookup (ie more rigorous) so it won't return N/A VALUE or 0's

In summary: we have more fun than production.

kjw EDIT: Many thanks to ~Zeta~, defeating a regular mob with a combined blackflag across all of the given songs (like Zak's victory over Mad Teacher) is now called a "faire une grève".
