Well, Analysing Alone by Edgar Allen Poe.

I need to find literary devices in Edgar Allen Poe's poem Alone

    Alone
From childhood's hour I have not been (Personification)
As others were; I have not seen (Repetition)
As others saw; I could not bring (Repetition)
My passions from a common spring.
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow; I could not awaken
    My heart to joy at the same tone;
And all I loved, I loved alone.
Then- in my childhood, in the dawn
Of a most stormy life- was drawn
From every depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still:
From the torrent, or the fountain,
From the red cliff of the mountain,
From the sun that round me rolled (alliteration)
In its autumn tint of gold,
From the lightning in the sky
As it passed me flying by,
From the thunder and the storm,
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view.

Im terrible at doing this crap, and yes English is my worst subject.
It would be much appreciated if you guys could help me find some more literary devices.

In line 12 Is "good and ill" a juxtaposition? A hurp. FML.

    Alone
From childhood's hour I have not been (Personification)---no personification here
As others were; I have not seen (Repetition)
As others saw; I could not bring (Repetition)
My passions from a common spring. Simile
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow; I could not awaken alliteration (same-source-sorrow)
    My heart to joy at the same tone;
And all I loved, I loved alone.
Then- in my childhood, in the dawn
Of a most stormy life- was drawn simile
From every depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still:
From the torrent, or the fountain,
From the red cliff of the mountain,
From the sun that round me rolled (alliteration)
In its autumn tint of gold,
From the lightning in the sky
As it passed me flying by,
From the thunder and the storm,
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view.

-Starting at 'of a stormy life' to the end, the whole thing is imagery
-any rhyming lines could potentially be assonance, but I forget the specifics of that
I think line 12 could be juxtaposition, as is the comparison in the last few lines comparing the demon to heaven

But don't take me for much, I haven't done this type of stuff in over 10 years
