    Weird misses & boos

    so im playing hardcore of the north on the velo in browser and on the ffr engine cuz token songs don't load on the legacy standalone for me.
    but there is something weird happening when i play that file today...



    i can pretty easily FC this song, and my pb is 19-0-0-2 (sigh... so close :P). Anyways, i'll be playing and it's like the game isn't registering my arrows, but gives me a boo instead. If you watch the replay, the misses are in weird spots where i should be getting perfects. also, it shows me a ton of boos, but you can't see hardly any in the replay. it's like it's not registering my tap, gives me a miss but also gives me a boo like i hit the key...
    odd.
    i've tried switching key combinations. usual for me is zx./. Tried as;', asl; all the same.
    any ideas?

      Have you tried clearing your cache with CCleaner and reloading the legacy standalone?

          i used CCleaner not too long ago, but i'll try again.
          i wasn't using the standalone though, i was using the in browser velo & the legacy engine on the ffr site.

              My guess (and I could be wrong) is it's some sort of lag? It could even be something like your antivirus software or firewall interfering with the game somehow.

              Do you have any other programs open/running at the same time you're playing? How much RAM do you have? (Subtract some if your graphics card or onboard graphics uses system RAM rather than its own RAM)

              Try: Disabling or uninstalling any toolbars and/or plugins and/or addons except for Flash. Turning off any "auto-update" features in any software you may have and just remember to manually update every so often (once a week or two is good). Disabling any unnecessary servers and/or services (google to see what's needed). You might need to configure your antivirus and/or firewall software as well.

                  hmm, i've used ccleaner to no avail.
                  i've got 8gb of ram, w/o a dedicated graphics card. I do have other programs open while i play, but they are only taking about 5% CPU
                  i dont have any toolbars on my browser.
                  and since i have a mac, i dont have any antivirus, and my firewall is off

                      I'm having the exact same problem though mine seems to be just boo's in random places. Everytime i'm on for an AAA on a tough file, a random boo appear's.
                      Just started using my new Logitech UltraX Premium as well (which i love) so pretty glad that's not to blame.

                          My friend's laptop keyboard adds a double tap sometimes, it might be your keyboard. Unless you meant that it happened before you got your new one, too. If so, then I have no idea D:

                              Never happened on my previous keyboard although i have only recently re-installed windows.
                              I'll try switching keyboards again to rule that out when i get the time later.

                                  omg... Katies lappy does exactly this. Not to her though, so it must just be my noobery playing that does it.

                                  On a side note, before I started switching off aero themes when I played, I was getting random misses and boos ;___;
