    Frictional Nevada [11 or 12]

Now my personal arguments aren't terribly solid, but the way I see this file It's got maybe 1-2 hard 24th sections that often dump 1-2 good for me, and the jack into runningman in the intro. Other than these this file is fairly jokingly easy. I have absolutely no trouble with this file, and I have no FMO AAA's. Other than Novo mundo I could see me AAAing FN before an FMO. For this reason I feel Frictional Nevada Should be a HIGH 11 (Maybe Oni unlock?) rather than a 12.
Someone make me a cool siggy?

    It's an easy 12.
Im only of the few people I know in my skill range with even a non FC sdg on it.
    It's harder than halcyon [Xi]

This song is a lot about speed and how well you can handle a number of bursts at that speed. I believe the song is over 200 bpm.

The bursts are often straightforward, but not always. In the first half of the song, strange 32nd bursts such as 3214 or 41324 can be found, although short.

There's one wall that can be jumptrilled but it's fairly common to split goods there.

The shorter 24th bursts are not too difficult, but the 234234234 pattern near the end always screws me up - uncomfortable pattern that needs to be semi-jumptrilled if you aren't fast enough.

It can go either way for me, but I would prefer to leave it as a low 12. Where would you set a general boundary for low 12s if you consider moving FN to a high FMO?

I'm saying low FGO for this - it's actually deceivingly draining and has quite a bit of complexity right at the end of the song to take out anyone (AAA/FC) without nerves of steel.

and I didn't have nerves of steel.
I'm going 12 on this, too. Though it's obviously a lower 12, the speed is still much above the normal FMO fodder. It's also incredibly easy to mindblock

The bursts and consistency of speed would make Frictional Nevada a VERY LOW 12.

Just think of it as a long version of Lolo, except slowed down.

              12 because of the speed.

i'd say the bpm is important for reference here. it's roughly 222.

i played it and it did feel a little awkward to me, but i'm not really fit for this difficulty range so it's hard for me to gauge where this would go.

I can't understand how that statement is valid, it's only a little faster, and FN is really straight streams with very few bursts and jumps, where Halcyon is only a little slower with every other note being a jump then bursts that result in tons of framers and jacks, something FN has none of (jacks). FN based on my playing and subjective opinion should be FMO, not even the highest. The song is literally straight stream with a few bursts, all the patterns are simple, and you can jumptrill just about everything, even the 24th note bursts, and then quad the 64ths at the end. The song is extremely straightforward. Personal experience, it was my first FGO AAA and SDG, long before I could do most FMO's, I SDG'd FN before I SDG'd 10 FMO's I'm pretty sure, that's back when I was mediocre, but that's just my ability I guess.

File wise, as I said, songs pretty much just stream at worst, simple patterns, everything is jump trillable, and it has breaks in the streams to simple 8th parts to recuperate for the next burst of notes, it's not draining at all compared to Halcyon which is unbelievably draining and very hard to read at parts. I would leave it low FGO however, because the end is a AAA killer if there ever was one.

I'd say a very low 12 as well. While you can brute force most of it with sheer speed, there are some akward places that are likely to break your combo or AAA depending on skill level. Just use FN as one of the low end benchmark to judge other files whether or not they're fit to be a high 11 or low 12.

It's a 12 in my eyes. Decent length, FGO-level speed requirements (220-ish bpm streams and 24th bursts) with a very strange set of rhythms at the end.

I'd vouch for this to stay as a 12 - the patterns displayed combined with the speed would be draining for many players looking for the FC/AAA as Halogen has commented, as well as the strange rhythms hi19 and others have commented on. It's one of those songs that may be seen as too easy to be a 12, but also seen as too high for an 11. Therefore I think it'd be best suited as one of the lowest 12s, if not the lowest.
