That was the site I had already been using to look for themes, but nothing fits what I have in mind (a few are close but only in part)
I'll probably end up just Frankenstein-ing together parts from different themes or something. A lot of these themes have all these bells and whistles idgaf about.Comment

*Very* hard for me to describe/articulate (I can only see it in my mind) -- but a sort of blue-hued Deus Ex: Human Revolution style of tech coupled with sort of bright, video-game colors/space-like undertones a la the Noctis theme. (In other words, think DX:HR + Final Fantasy)
In yet other words, a cool/sexy/sleek fusion between technology and magic, with blue as the primary base color of things.Last edited by Reincarnate; 12-29-2011, 10:49 AM.Comment

Wordpress is just HTML. Like Darkshark said, doing it from scratch isn't gonna happen and it's highly impractical. Your best bet is to find a base template that's as close as you can get to what you want. Then go into the HTML yourself and start tweaking and fiddling with everything yourself. You'll slowly learn, it's just taking the initiative to actually look at the code. I 'would' if I didn't have my own Tumblr project going on at the moment... Sorry :'(

So it's basically making a website template in a sense... well if you want something customized, it can certainly be done. If you have an orignal idea then templates aren't going to do much except perhaps act as a reference to what you actually want, with this and that changed etc.
EDIT: oh right that's what you did with the Noctis theme lol. I can picture your idea, it seems doable. However it would take quite a bit of work.

Anyways if anyone's willing to help with this, please let me know. I'd be willing to pay if it's really, really good and you know what you're doing (as I COULD do this myself but it's going to take me like ten times longer and I'm not experienced with creating art on the computer... would much rather just pay someone else to do it right so I could learn from that instead and get the ball rolling on things).Comment
