The Gift Of Forgetting. (My Band)

Me and my friends have recently started a new band and we have a few covers under our belt. I was just looking for some feedback, I know our singers not the best but hopefully he goes and takes singing lessons.

    I am the drummer.

The song is Not Good Enough for Truth in Cliche by Escape the Fate.

Sound Quality isn't the greatest due to the fact it was recorded on a IPhone.

    Thanks

I'm sorry, not meaning to be an ass but I didn't enjoy that at all. The guitar is pretty pretty sloppy, and the vocals are absolutely horrid. Just keep practicing you guys will get better.

We are a little off in some parts our rythym guitarist and singer aren't the greatest.

Im in another band thank god and it's like 20 times better, I'll post some vids of our latest gig when they get uploaded.

EDIT: I do not take any comments personally, you guys were asked to give feedback, I will take it, whether its negative or positive.

I think it would help if you got better recording equipment; everything's too distorted for it to be really great. Although maybe that's just the guitar sound quality, I'm having a hard time telling. Bluemic's seem to be pretty good, only ~100$. And if it's just the guitar, that's easily changed with a dif setting, right?

The vocalist IMO isn't terrible, not great, but the song's waaaay too low for him. He's clearly straining to hit the notes. By the end of that his voice must be in paiiin. Every band will run into walls with their vocalists, even awesome ones with great range, and they have to be good enough musicians to play the same stuff in different keys. I've known whole orchestras will raise or lower songs to match the soloist. He's got pitch issues too, but he should be able to work that out himself. Take out the keyboard, play the notes in the melody, and make sure he matches his voice with the keyboard note. Unfortunately the higher notes have the pitch problems. Voice lessons are always a good thing though, prevent him from hurting himself.

Practice practice practice, individually and in a group!

You can buy a mikey that works with most iphone versions for like, 40$ from amazon.com. 80$ from the bluemic website if not in US. The internet tells me they're amazing quality for so cheap, and you can still take your video at the same time!

beginning threw me off because everyone was doing their own thing and no one was in sync haha. agree with cavernio on the vocals and pretty much everything else
