    Doctor Who

Surprised there isn't already a thread about this... At least, I didn't see one when I looked or searched for it.

I've currently only watched the 11th Doctor episodes, but I know for sure that I'll be watching all the 10th Doctor episodes soon. Eventually, I'll watch everything in order, starting with the 1st Doctor (and the 60's episodes, where it all started.)

Favorite episodes as of yet are as follows (will update as I watch more episodes):

The Vampires of Venice (11th Doctor; Season 5)
Vincent and the Doctor (11th Doctor; Season 5) --This is also EASILY my all time favorite episode, so far.--
    The Doctor's Wife (11th Doctor; Season 6)
The God Complex (11th Doctor; Season 6)
The Wedding of River Song (11th Doctor; Season 6)

    Any other Whovians out there?

    Re: Doctor Who

How is it ok to watch a series without starting at the beginning? Or do they reintroduce characters every season?

They don't. When the Doctor dies, he regenerates into a completely different person, and it's almost like the rest doesn't matter.

Plus, one of my friends got me into it when I was at her house, and she refused to miss the new episode. Annnnd it's not exactly *easy* to find the earlier episodes. So, yeah. I've been working on that.

Tiff if you have trouble finding any of these episodes I can ask a friend of mine if she knows an easy way to see them all. She's stupidly obsessed with this show.

I've found some of them. I'm slowly gathering a collection of all the episodes.

I don't know about old Who, but you'll want to watch the 9th Doctor before the 10th. The transition between the two isn't a fresh start for the show like the 11th was.

Yes and no. Its a good idea to start watching from the beginning of the revival (the 9th Doctor) to catch up on things, but it is true that most Doctors are self-contained series. However its always a treat when after you've done some homework and exploring in the universe, you see something awesome like when the 5th Doctor meets his 10th version. Or seeing little homages to the older series.

                    This show is amazing anyways.

I completely forgot about this thread. I finished the New Who about a week ago. Not bad. The Christmas special was pretty good, but eh. Could've been better. I've decided my favorite doctor from New Who is the 9th. He's awesome.
