This is old news, but probably most of you won't know about it. Mao Komiya has stated publicly on her blog on May 29, 2011 that she will end her singing career due to contraction of an ulcer in the esophagus. (Single blog post here.)
A quick biography:
小宮真央 (Mao Komiya) is a doujin singer who has been an active singer since 2005. However, her activity level dropped sharply after 2008, though she has still provided vocals for songs as late as February 2011. She has collaborated with a multitude of artists, including t+pazolite and Shiki, whom FFR regulars should recognize. FFR even has one of the songs she performed in-game, arranged by t+pazolite: Okusenman! -Hardcore Mix-. (There might be more, but I'm not sure.) It's odd how many views some of her songs get, yet she remains unknown to most. Some attain hundreds of thousands or even over a million views. Examples:
