Oh it looks muchhhhh better than before. I'm liking it, but the white kinda hurts the eyes, maybe change it to black?

            The problem with that.

Go to a post that has a song and try and highlight the song thing. See how much extra it highlights? thats all white. If I make that background black then there will be that big white rectangle there. If anybody knows how to make it so that the songs are always open or how to change the background color of them in CSS or the wordpress dashboard I could fix it. But other than that it will have to stay white.

              this looks like wordpress.

and your background repeats way too much, it would look a lot better if you just had it once at the top of the page and have plain black for the rest.

Re: So I'm designing my website...

I personally don't care for it at all. The animated green stuff is really tacky, the colors don't work well together at all, and each blog entry for songs makes me want to not click on it.

                Just being honest.

Here's a few examples of "good" blog design that you can steal ideas from.

I know, and I hate it. But I have no idea how to do that. I even have the right pixels, but no.

EDIT: What I want to do is have a stationary background, so what you see doesn't move when you scroll. Like people used to do on mysapce.

I don't like any of those. I know what you mean by tacky. And I deleted the side things.

I think all of those examples look like they just clicked on the first template they saw...

EDIT: Also, I don't want mine to look like a blog, cause a blog now-a-days is like a tumblr, and I think most of those look really horrible.

Plus, i'm not posting anything about my life, its only my music.

EDIT2: I've never coded before, so all help is appreciated.

One thing that would really help you out, is to look up tutorials on Photoshop slicing. When used in conjunction with Adobe Dreamweaver, you can pretty much turn a Photoshop PSD/jpg into a fully functional website. So you can design your entire page exactly how you want it in Photoshop, and then make it work with DreamWeaver ;D

Problem is I don't have dreamweaver. I'm definitely going to be leaving word press when my yearly thing runs out so I have more freedom. I might look into getting dreamweaver because I only ever hear good things about it. But this:

You have to understand that these sites didn't just click on some template, they merely adhere to consistency. A blog looks like a blog...because it's a blog, not to say that it can't deviate away from that certain appeal, but it keeps it easily recognizable as what it is meant to be. A blog is meant to reach out and grab the attention of an audience, build a following, and share your ideas and thoughts with the crowd you've built. Building a blog from the ground up with good aesthetics in mind will be your key to a good site, whereas trying to add aesthetic appeal to a site which already exists is exponentially harder. So in my opinion, start over. I know it's a lot of work, especially when you're just learning html/css, but it's really worth it in the long run.

Dreamweaver is available on the internet the same way you probably got Photoshop lol.

                          For Dreamweaver just torrent it.

Then go to: youtube.com/user/createthenet, and watch the video series "Dreamweaver CS5 introduction". I'm currently watching through it and it's teaching me a shitload about coding and how to build a functioning website.

I actually purchased my photoshop. Which is why I don't have CS5

I'm probably going to start over. And I respect that you know what your talking about. I'm just very amateur at photoshop and this is my first time coding and all that so its very difficult. I had to get a lot of tutorials online for the coding, and photoshop is kinda just learn as I go

Will it work for CS4 too?
