    Nintendo, Bethesda, and Epic Games next to get hacked

    Nintendo, Epic Games, Square Enix, Bethesda and Codemasters have all followed suit of the Sony PSN hack, with reports of phishing scams and customer information leaks running rampant. LulzSec and Anonymous, two of the largest faces of the recent wave of cybercrime, have been linked to several such attacks, whereas neither group has claimed responsibility.

                      Weird.

                      Anon and LulzSec usually claim responsibility for the shit they do, right? If they deny it, it probably wasn't them. Or maybe they're working on a press release and wanna keep tight-lipped until then? I don't think phishing isn't really their style either.

                      edit: Goddammit, the article later says LulzSec pimped the Bethesda hacking. Way to stay consistent, G4. :<

                          something needs to be done about these hackers, i heard a few people from anonymous in spain think it was got arrested recently, and they'll more than likely fess up and tell who the other hackers are and stuff

                                      Phishing isn't even hacking, it's just users being dumb and not knowing how to read their address bar.

                                              If this is going to turn out to be a full-blown hackers-doing-dumb-shit rampage, it's going to backfire.

                                              But like DS said, phishing is dumb. It's not real hacking -- just relying on the fact that people aren't going to be observant or do their due diligence in making sure shit's legitimate.

                                                  I can't wait for gaming as an industry to collapse and gaming as a hobby to be reborn.
