    [FL] .flac imports?

I'm not sure if this is the proper place to put this since there isn't a song in this post.

I've looked around for a while and can't seem to find an actual answer to this: is it at all possible to import .flac files into FL? I have some samples that I'd like to toy with, but they're all in .flac format and I can't seem to just drag/drop them into FL -- is there some sort of plugin that is needed, or is it simply not possible? I'd really like to keep the lossless quality.

    Thanks again.

Yeah, I've wondered this for a while. I just convert to *wav like Carlos said.

Converting to a usable format is the first thing that came to mind lol.

so like stated above, convert to Wav or Mp3.

@Manson: If you convert it into an MP3 you will lose quality. He wants to be able to keep the original quality of the flac file so wav would probably be the better choice since it's lossless.

How much quality is lost with converting to MP3? 0.o

Oh wow, I'm an idiot - I totally didn't think of going from .flac to .wav. Thanks a lot for mentioning that; I think I'll go do that now.

@ Mans0n: .mp3 conversion forces bitrates that are considerably lower than .flac, so you do lose quite a bit

Oh yeah, I was sitting there looking around for a .flac -> .wav converter; I'm looking and getting frustrated because I can't find anything, then I realize that Audacity has that support. What a life saver!
