Rules below. Submission period ends about a month from now.
Please note that this is a keyboard-based simfile pack, although we will accept Pad simfiles, but do not expect everything in this mix to be doable on Pad as a result.
Please note that all rules are subject to change at any time and there will be exceptions made for some of them on some occassions.
The Three Rules (Yes, there is technically only 3.)
1. This is an anime mix so the main focus is anime music, basically Anime Opening Themes, Ending Themes, & Insert Songs. (There may be some exceptions, so don't be afraid to ask if you're unsure if your song is eligible.)
2. You're free to step any of the above music as long as it was released within the past 10 to 15 years. (May change in the future.)
3. There is a cap to how many simfiles you can have in the pack. 2 Simfiles per author, but this may change in the future.
THE CATCH
And on to the catch of this mix...
We will be conducting this mix with a more open-minded approach this time versus our previous mixes. There won't be any real "judging panel" for this mix, in the sense that, once your simfile is sync'd correctly (BPM & Offset), everything beyond that is your responsibility and will not be a factor on whether or not your simfile is accepted or rejected.
So what do I mean by this exactly?
Well, basically there will be no judging based on "quality" of the simfile, so you're free to make nearly anything you want so long as you, The Simfile Author, are happy with what you've created and you are confident that people will enjoy it.
But keep in mind that this does not mean you cannot get help from our members if you don't feel like your simfile is fun enough and want help, because our members will probably be nice enough to give you advice and tips to help you.
However.
-----------
This is your choice now, so nobody is going to stop you from participating in this mix as long as you are content that your simfile is fun to play, so if you want to be a part of this mix, then by all means you are welcome to involve yourself.
Remember, there is technically no requirement on how your simfile should be stepped. So if you've been making simfiles for years, or if you just started StepMania last week, you're still perfectly eligible for participating in this mix.
Also, if you are having trouble syncing your simfile then we can help you with that too.
How To Submit Your Simfile
Send your simfile to odseason@gmail.com and be sure to include your name so we know who made it.
So with that out of the way, the submissions period is open now and will end on May 32nd, so about a month from now.
Just remember, everyone is welcome to participate, and now is the chance for you to make yourself known in our community, so have fun!
Also, keep in mind that the simfiles that pass into the mix will be showcased on the Otaku's Dream Youtube channel which has almost 1000 subscribers at this time of posting.
OPTIONAL
If you can, please include a few sentences (in your submission email) on your thoughts overall with the simfile(s), since the limit to how many simfiles you can have in the mix is only two.
You can also let us know if you had some trouble with the sync or the graphics or anything else in your email as well.
