For someone who's not too interested in chiptunes, you make them enjoyable to listen to [for me]. You probably have certain influences that give you a unique style versus all these generically epic people. Good stuff.
In terms of style intended, 9/10. The solo was good, but I think you could do better. As for constructive criticism, the solo touched the wall of the box. The idea (to me) is to make someone think outside of the box, and amaze them. Definitely good song. Based on chiptunes, can't really say I know, but using a different pitch here and there during breaks in the solo (since you can't just pause, this isn't jazz) might be good. Just some thoughts.

thx for da feedback xero. I do agree that the solo composition could perhaps use some work (mostly towards the end where it just repeats) but I'll work on that and eventually make truly insaneous solos :3Comment

I really don't want to sound mean, but why is this always one of the first comments when someone produces a song here? I mean, music is good, but man, is every song here always steppable? haha
Edit: I think it's because it's not a "someone should step it" comment but it's always something like "best one yet, step it." Every new song is better than the last I guess lolComment

Well the community is heavily based around finding steppable songs and it's a habit (huge compliment even) to say that a song is steppable. This means it'll give interest to others to attempt to get your music in game and spread the attention even further. Tens of thousands of players could go through your song once it's added in.
That's the way I see it anyways. It's our own rhythm gaming circlejerk way of saying you like a certain song.Comment
