    Wanna win 50k credits fast? :)

    I need some physics help...

    I have this question that has been pissing me off all day in which I know the friggen answer but I cannot show my work to get it... Please show me the work and I'll send ya 50k credits


    The Question:

    A man shoots a slingshot at a thief who is 50 meters away. He hears the thief scream 1.5s later. The Speed of sound is 330m/s. What was the initial velocity of the shot object.

    The only thing I could figure out to do is 50m/330m/s to get me the actual time to took the projectile to reach the thief.

    Thanks! (Yes, I know this a simple question... I suck at physics...)

      50m / (1.5 sec - 50/330 sec) ~ 37.08 m/s

      50/330 sec is the time the scream takes to travel from the thief to you.

      1.5 sec - 50/330 sec is the time the bullet takes to travel from you to the thief.

                              No, Velocity is LOL (currently, but I think he's able to change his credit count?)

                              Smitty has 3 million I think

                              Reincarnate had the max when he donated to ichlie's tournament (5 million), 8388607 but that was BS. XD
