Re: King of Limbs
album is alright. first half (except maybe the opening track) is really boring, second half is pretty great

Where have you Radiohead fans been... I've had the same Thom Yorke avatar / banner for a long time.
The Eraser > most Radiohead albums. What do you think?Originally posted by PhynxAnd so it was, with this thread that, in 2014 Robertsona will be placed in history via the Legendary Thread section. Re: King of Limbs
disagree completely. arbitrary but necessary ranking:
1. in rainbows (has always been my personal favorite as well as by FAR my most listened to. was also my first; maybe that makes a difference. was a late bloomer!)
2. kid a
3. ok computer (this and kid a are VERY close)
4. the bends (always sort of resented this for being "grunge" or "too generic" or whatever. gave it a relisten and it's consistently really ****ing good.)
5. hail to the thief (uneven sorta but still amazing)
6. amnesiac
7. pablo honey (i think this is underrated. pretty great.)
8. king of limbs (close to pablo honey in quality. sorry, just can't get into it)
eraser is maybe in between amnesiac and pablo honey in quality.

Re: King of Limbs
Talking about Radiohead, is it just me that thinks Pablo Honey gets a tough time? I know the band dislike the album as well, and I know it's lyrically not as intricate as some of their more popular releases, but I see it as one of their albums that you could easily get away with playing during the summer due to their early, near-britpop sound, sort of similar to The Bends. That's what I think, anyway. Of course, I prefer The Bends, but I just think Pablo Honey gets a harsh time usually as it does have some genuinely enjoyable tracks on it.
Also, anyone listened to their demo album, "On A Friday"? I shit you not, it has some genuinely uplifting songs and even a fair mix of breakbeat and pop music. It just reinforces the idea that the band have such a versatile sound and production.

Re: King of Limbs
I think Pablo Honey and Amnesiac both get a hard time ; It seems with Amnesiac, you either love it or disprove and shun it to the shelf, which is a shame because it's a phenomenal album that is easily overlooked. I'm a seasoned listener and refuse to compile a list of most to least favorite album, forevery album is a journey in it's own.Originally posted by PhynxAnd so it was, with this thread that, in 2014 Robertsona will be placed in history via the Legendary Thread section.
