Quantum mechanics, definitely. Its counterintuitive nature, mysteries, and possible applications are all fascinating.

Quantum Mechanics/Field Theory, it's what I want to get my doctorites in, and when you don't listen to BS science fiction crap that idiots spout, and look at the real science, it's just as astonishing, and makes more sense to a billion future scientific applications we are yet to use. We need to get on it. Everything is made of particles, so therefore, knowledge/control of particles gives us knowledge/control of anything (to and extent).
PS
Traveling back in time is physically impossible and bull, even based on true quantum mechanics, that's sci fi bullshit, going forward however...
Oh yeah, technically, time doesn't exist from a physical perspective unless it's an axis in wikowsky space for vectors (at least as we view the word)It's getting better all the time
I used to get mad at my school (No, I can't complain)
The teachers who taught me weren't cool (No, I can't complain)
You're holding me down (Oh Oh)
Turning me round (Oh Oh)
Filling me up with your rules (Oooh)Comment

Actually, you can go back in time under quantum mechanics, but it assumes wormholes.Comment

Simply being able to understand the vastness and complexity of our mysterious universe.

How much of the universe we know about.
How much of the universe we don't understand yet.
This wonderful dichotomy is what makes science awesome.
and how "physicists" is so fun to say..Comment

^My favorite video on Youtube
Once you start leaving the Milky Way, shit gets real, which is sad considering how long it'd take (even at lightspeed) to get that far out. To me, the knowledge that we've only been intelligent enough to make these observations for such a pitiful handful of years is amazing. Great time to be alive. I think it's a privilege to truly know why we're here and where we are -- it's knowledge that countless humans have been deprived of.Last edited by Reincarnate; 02-24-2011, 09:40 AM.Comment

Mainly this. In high school I tried to take as many science classes as I could because there was so much to learn in those classes. I took physics in my junior year and learned more than I could have ever imagined, and we didn't even get through the whole course due to snow days and a bad schedule. But what I learned and all the experiences I had will stay with me always.Glorious Morning - Misc, level 48
