Jungle Drum & Bass Rap [Uncle Dan Jungle Sound]

Was working on a new rap, when suddenly a good DnB melody hit me. So I got to work.
And then this 7 minute piece came to life.

Decided to rename it to "Shuffle X-Step".

    I thought FFR enjoyed 175bpm :O

This is kinda bad. There wasn't anything really redeeming in listening to this. The vocals really ruined it. The swearing was forced and unnecessary, and the vocals just sounded like they were thrown on top of the breaks with no sort of processing. The actual lyrics were very typical overused one liners strung together ("We're gonna get ****ed up tonight." "Relaxing and maxing while I'm spitting a rap." "Time to tear this ****ing shit all down tonight.") There's this really awkward sound that comes in at 0:30 that's pretty annoying. The breaks were incredibly static, with no discernible layering.

Just a really unpleasant listening experience in all.

The lyrics weren't thought out indeed, but it's what you basically hear when listening to a Jungle track (ie Jungle Sounds Gold CD1). Vocals were my least priority in this as I was focusing on the basslines and breaks (which is usually done in oldschool Jungle tracks).
I would appreciate some form of feedback though on what you would've wanted to hear instead.

Did you try to access a private track, but were not logged in?
Maybe the track or user has been removed

Hmmm it has potential, but you got a way to go with this. . I can hear the jungle elements but the vocals wern't doing it for me. . I won't talk about the words because I'm biased against most vocal work, but I'd maybe consider mixing them a little more into the track as for me it just seemed to sit on top of the instrumental track. . . I have to disagree with jake here, I think the breaks are fine and work well as they're perfect for jungle style. I wouldn't call it breakcore at all to be honest. Breakcore is violent and aggressive for the most part and this is just smooth (which is good).

That bass at the beginning or that detuned saw was a bit meh for me and I think the song would benefit without it, I'm biased against vox so maybe make an instrumental ;D

                  Pretty decent.

Thanks man! I definitely agree about the vocals. I didn't put much work into them like I did in my previous (actual rap) track. I should put more work into that.
I don't know how you came up with the idea that it would be breakcore :P

Basically tried something new (for me that is). I'm glad you like it!
