    Jumps and Chords(hands)

Figuring I should come back and play a bit of nostalgia, I've been trying to get ffr to work properly for a while, but not without an interesting issue.

I don't know if it's my keyboard (which it doesn't seem likely since SM Solo and Singles works perfect for the keys that I have mapped out), but it's like every couple of notes that has a few jumps and/or hands within it, ffr won't register that keystroke.

I know not if this has been brought up, or if this is an issue unique to me. I had to clear my cache like 4 times to even get the keystrokes to register at all (I use Firefox) and now I can't really hit jumps consecutively without it messing up.

And no, my accuracy isn't THAT bad. =x But considering I can't even fc a 6 difficulty because of this issue is rather odd.

It's like no matter what key combination I find, it'll still do the same thing, even using the exact same key setup I do in Singles play.

And for some reason it's mostly the up arrow in the game that doesn't like to play well, though sometimes it'll be other keys.

I know what you mean, i wish i could get my arrow keys to register Quads and Hands but sadly my keyboard is a piece of shit.
I cant really find the problem either but like i said mines with the arrow keys so its common i think....plus cant register jumps and bursts that well either and on almost all bursts i miss now. (Not MY fault)

Yeah, my kb does that with the arrow keys too.

But when it's doing that with qw op, as kl, as l;, zx ./, we io, and any combination of those just doesn't want to work well. And I KNOW all those key pairs work because they work in SM. =x

Hmmm, thats kinda odd. They should work if you're playing spread....I dunno tho sorry.

Make sure your speed mod ends in a .0 or .5

Check sticky keys, maybe? Although I guess it wouldn't work even in SM if that was the case.

Have you tried in standalone player?

Open up a notepad window and press down all four keys you want to use at once, if any of them don't register then it's a bad configuration. You'd be surprised how many ways there are to configure four keys that won't work with the circuitry on different keyboards.

Mmmm, a .0 or .5, eh? I'll have to try that.

Didn't quite think about the notepad thing, though I'd think the test input ability of Stepmania and sm-ssc would do something similar, but one can never be too certain. I'll try that.

Edit: Seems that Emo_Saur was right with the speed settings, which kinda sux. =x Gotta play at either 2.0 or 2.5 lol

But now I know a good idea to test on other keyboards to see if ghosting happens with particular keystrokes on particular keyboards. =3 'Preciate the help, yo.
