Rock The World (New /DJS\ Album)

Genre: American Hardcore with a little bit of flavor
Length: 42 minutes (56 with bonus material if you download it)

Culmination of another 9+ months of work. I'll let the music speak for itself.

Feel free to ask any production questions.

Also, feel free to promote and post the album around. I'm a do-it-yourselfer, so any bit helps. Blogs, twitter, just get it out there. Onward to the 7th album we go.

I hate you. . I was gonna post a thread D:! It's worse because the stuff on here is good. . Best one for me was beat, I think the piano in the first track is a bit dry/rough, apart from that all good ;D

    You suck <3

However, as an album I feel like the songs don't work with each other well. When I listen to a whole album, I look for each song to flow into the next, almost like you're telling a story. When each song has that same upbeat feeling (again, this is not necessarily a bad thing by itself), it starts to drag a bit.

Overall, I think the music you write is very well done. However, because you stay too comfortable in your boundaries when you compose a song, the album has no real presence as a whole presentation.
I have to agree with this.

You are quite talented and compose better than I ever will but it seems you never step out of your comfort zone thus causing your songs to sound a way too similar.
Every song seems to have that high-frequency piano/synth and some sort of Bitcrusher effect... Add breaks... bongos... latin percussion... jazz samples. Think creatively.
I understand you are a UK Hardcore/Happy Hardcore producer but you can still add some versatility to your releases.

That being said, I really enjoyed it so far. You are consistently good with your releases.

[hope no one takes my critique/commentaries the wrong way again rofl]

Thanks for the critque, gents. Seems I can always trust you guys to give it to me straight. I suppose I tried to vary the tracks as much as possible, but I completely see where you're coming from. Just gotta be a tad bit more aware.

I'm probably going to wait a LONG LONG time before starting on the 7th. Focus on acoustic music for the time being, etc.

Ironic how I fell victim to the thing I preach the most.

Also, thanks for always being my harshest critic, Jimmy. We compliment each other like that.
