    Can you put mines in the middle of freeze arrows?

    Due to a glitch in whatever version of OpenITG I use, whenever I use "Compress 2x", freeze arrows don't shrink in size.

    Because of this, mines that used to come after the freeze arrows now occur DURING them.
    (If you try playing a chart like this, you will hit the mine by holding the freeze, but risk losing the freeze if you avoid the mine. You need good timing to jump off, dodge the mine, then get back on before you lose the freeze)

    I'd like to use this gimmick in a chart I'm making, however have difficulty saving it to the file.
    Anytime I hit "Save", close the chart, and reopen, the freeze arrows have disappeared.

    Does anyone know of a way to get this to work in a chart?

      If I recall, Tranzport did it with negative bpms.

      Not sure if this is the same thing though. I don't remember the file having the mines "on" the freeze arrows, but behind them. I could just be 100% stupid though.

          This is impossible.

          For you to do something extremely similar, just cut the freeze arrow 1/64th before the mine and restart the freeze arrow 1/64th after. (Not recommended).

          Tranzport just had a hold that went into a negative BPM with mines afterward. Theoretically the mines were placed at the same TIME as the hold but actually wasn't in the same location.

              To my understanding, the game will immediately skip the moment it hits a negative BPM, until the next positive BPM. Doing this allows you to create "flip-card"-style trickery and swap fake patterns in and out, but I don't believe I see a way for it to do what I'm mentioning.

              I'm not familiar with Tranzport. Could you provide a link, chart or reference that might point me in the right direction?

                      Make a 4 measure hold. Place mines after the hold. Place a negative BPM half way through the hold. Compare the time the mines will be placed and compare that with the time your holding the freeze arrow. It would be the same time.

                              It might be possible with that, actually. I believe xmods skip it but c-mods react in a weird way. I'm not sure how to do it though.

                                  That's an alright idea, though seeing as this is for arcade, that substitute wouldn't be ideal - it would penalize players for not hitting the continuing freeze arrow with "Fantastic" timing.

                                          Tis why it's not recommended and it's an alternative. It's actually the only alternative possible at that because you will never see the above screenshot in a song during gameplay.

                                              I don't know how freezes or mines show up in that, but you never know...

                                                      I've played Tranzport with mines off (I play all songs with mines off) and I haven't been able to FC it.. always miss those stupid arrows..

                                                          Those arrows don't even exist in the song (technically) unless you play it on SM 4.0 (4.0 doesn't read negatives or it never use to in the past).
