So, yeah yeah, I've lost a CRAP ton of my speed, but that doesn't mean I was ever able to do songs like kidney stone and Eclipse nicely. Considering how many people can *somehow* get under 30 goods with less than 10 boos, I assume there's a way to get that fast. I've tried doing hard song mega pack in SM, and that's what allowed me to BF Lolo and Reality, but this is another level of ****. I STILL think Lolo is really fast and don't know how so many people can AAA it. I mean, it's kinda ridiculous. Now that speed is not that bad, but I don't think I'll ever be fast enough to clean FC Eclipse, hell I can't even FC without mashing at all on that song. I'm beginning to think some people are just physically incapable of ever reaching that speed, is this true? Sure, you can get faster, but maybe it's not physically possible for everyone to reach that speed, I'm beginning to think I can't, just like I'll never get my RATO rank under 200 without double setup because I'll never be able to vibrate long enough. Ughhh....how do you guys do it? Damn this is frustrating. I can PA like a boss and AAA almost every song FMO and under, yet I don't have the speed or stamina to pull under rank 300 on RATO and 100 on Solar. How do so many people do it?

Depends, really. Some files I suck gorilla penis at (Winter Wind Etude for example - my score isn't *abysmal* but it's a lot worse than what I SHOULD be getting but I can't improve it).
Eclipse I do agree is a bit fishy. Streams at that BPM require a good deal of speed to just HIT right, and I can't do it without mirror. Then again, you may just not be that good at certain files.Originally posted by hi19hi19 -

play dumpfiles on SM or FFR and force yourself to not mash and to try to READ and FOCUS on the hard patterns
i was surprised when i could read Disregard accurately (with my fingers following suit)
maybe it's because i played with 4 packs for 3 years in SM. hardsuper megapack1, midare megapack 4 and 5, smkt 07 - which all have some dumpfilesComment

This is what I've been doing and it's been really successful as of late. Tourney scores are frigging improving tenfold
Edit: I've been doing a lot of midare mp files.

Anyway yeah I agree I honestly don't think that it's physically possible for everyone to have the amount of speed necessary to do well on some of these songs. Now obviously we've all gotten a lot faster than we were when we started but I do believe there is a limit to how fast we can become.

I read and focus, doesn't mean my fingers can hit half of those, but I can keep trying that, I haven't been doing it as much lately. Also, I have all of the SM hardpacks, unfortunately, stamina is a huge issue along with speed, and my stamina, at least with my hands is very weak.It's getting better all the time

i never found stamina to be a problem.. if you can read the patterns efficiently, your fingers wont need to move up / down as much.. just light taps.
ever wonder why good players like dossar, wooke, rubix never bring up their fingers a lot? they just press lightly because they can read the patterns very well, thus saving stamina
i've also noticed the more i can read the pattern on hard songs, the less my fingers rise from the keys, because simply, on dump songs like eclipse, your fingers have NO time to rise and fall.
so get rid of that habit of pounding on your keys (which im sure most of you have, because i used to do that)Comment

I don't think stamina makes you any faster. I never run out of stamina but I can't do the 24ths in gigadelic because I'm to slow. It isn't because I'm tired or anything.
I probably should stop doing this, but I can pound the keys at 280 bpm 16ths so it hasn't really been much of a problem. I am way more accurate when I distinctly hit every single note with a bit of force.Comment
